All right.
We're all in our places with bright shiny faces.
Welcome,
Everyone.
Good morning.
Happy Friday.
Thanks for being here.
And it's 8.
15.
So while.
The stragglers,
Come on in.
Let's start.
By noticing something.
Beautiful.
Where you are.
And appreciating.
That thing.
Maybe for the first time.
Maybe further.
100th time.
Maybe you notice it in a slightly different way.
Give some appreciation.
And when you feel.
Full of that,
You can close your eyes.
And notice some sound in your room.
Some sound from the outside.
Or a sound from inside your body.
Just noticing.
No judgment.
And going to your other senses.
Do you taste anything?
Do you smell anything?
And can you turn to.
.
.
Become aware of the sensation.
Of your skin.
Noticing where your hands are,
What they're touching.
Where your feet are.
The feeling of the air.
Is it cool?
Is it warm?
And where your clothes are touching your skin.
Notice any sensations.
And now we can start tuning into our natural breath.
Not forcing anything,
But.
.
.
Being curious about the rhythm of your natural breath.
And how does your breathing?
Affect how your skin and clothing touch each other.
As your body expands to accommodate air.
Do you feel the way your clothing has to expand?
And the opposite on the exhale.
And we can start to deepen the breath.
Breathing with more intention.
Feel your inhale become.
Bigger,
Slower.
Deeper.
And with each exhale,
Try to just let all of your rolls fall away.
The worker.
A responsibility.
Current events.
Anything in your story.
Just for the next 15 minutes.
It's just now.
And now.
Remember,
As always,
When you get distracted,
Become aware that you're distracted.
And pause.
And acknowledge that you've become distracted with permission.
Because that's what our minds do.
And then you can turn and reawaken to the breath and the present moment.
And if you have to do that a million times.
That's your practice today.
So let's breathe.
Breathing in.
I calm my body.
Breathing out,
I smile.
Breathing in,
I calm my body.
Breathing out.
I smile.
Dwelling in the present moment.
It is truly a wonderful moment.
Jack Kornfield says,
If you water the seeds of anger,
Anchor will grow.
If you water the seeds of peace.
Peace will grow.
So for the next few minutes,
I encourage you to.
Choose something that you would like to see grow in yourself.
Peace.
Years.
Joy,
Compassion.
Loving kindness.
These are just ideas for you.
But pick something that feels meaningful.
And imagine.
That there are seeds of that thing.
And that you're giving them a place to grow.
With plenty of water and sunshine.
And that can be your You're grounding for our seventh chakra.
Meditation today.
The seventh chakra is the crown chakra.
Located at the very top of your head.
The color of the seventh chakra is purple.
The seventh chakra represents our connection with the divine.
So.
Imagine that you're sitting.
On the earth in a beautiful fertile land.
Place.
And that there is a purple seed.
Of this thing that you've chosen.
That's planted in the ground that actually starts to send a shoot up in through your body.
So you become part of this.
Plant.
And that shoot grows up through your tailbone.
And up through your lower abdomen.
Travels up through your solar plexus.
This purple line of glowing life.
Goes through your heart center.
And up through your throat.
Up past your third eye.
And emerges at the top of your head.
And blooms into a lotus flower with a thousand petals.
And imagine that this is the beautiful manifestation of thing that you wanted to cultivate.
And you get to sit here.
And breathe with it.
And water it.
And expose it to sunshine.
Remember when you get distracted.
It's all part of the process.
Just acknowledge it and turn back.
To your breath.
And you're beautiful.
Purple.
Lotus flower.
Can you imagine?
Your lotus flower.
Becoming so radiant.
That you shine purple light upon.
As far.
Into the heavens.
As you can.
Imagine.
And let's all take a couple of deep breaths together as we reel in our purple light.
Tuck it back in.
One more big breath.
And we can continue our day knowing that we cultivated something good.
We watered it.
And we loved it.
I hope that today feels more peaceful or more joyful or whatever it was that you were that you set your intention for.
So start wiggling your fingers and your toes and Open your eyes and.
.
.
I'm so thankful to you all for being here.
And.
.
.
May we have peace on earth.
