Passively pay attention to the state of your body right now.
Do not try to change anything.
Simply notice how your body and mind feel.
Invite your body to begin to relax slightly as your shoulders drop a little lower,
Your jaw loosens so your teeth are not touching and your eyelids start to feel heavy.
Walk them in a deep breath to a count of four.
Hold briefly and gently,
Lovingly release to a count of six.
I invite you now to begin to apply the soothing self-havening touch,
Hands,
Arms and face in any order.
As you continue self-havening,
Once again,
Turn your attention to your breath.
Notice how your body knows how much air you need.
Notice with interest how your breath goes in and out.
Feel the pause after you inhale and again before you exhale and the pause once again before drawing another breath.
Invite your body to relax further and your mind to focus on the soothing haven in touch.
I invite you now to begin to notice with curiosity and energy that you would like more of in this present moment and throughout the rest of this day.
Invite your mind to ponder the possibilities of being curious and inquisitive,
Of perhaps feeling energized and present,
Maybe grounded and calm.
Take a moment to notice a state of being you would like more of in this moment.
As you continue self-havening,
Quietly ask yourself,
What if I was leaning into curiosity about what it would be like to embody this chosen state?
Again quietly ponder,
What if I was quietly completing the question with your chosen state of being?
What if your chosen energetic state had a color?
Invite your mind to explore this possibility.
What color would it be?
Is this a color you have seen in nature on your life's journeys?
And as you invite yourself to be present with the possibility of this color,
Once again inquire,
What if I was?
Continue to gently apply the soothing,
Loving self-havening touch and notice the expansive opportunities of your chosen state and its beautifully colored self.
Invite in this color as you deepen your breath,
Welcoming its energy with every inhalation.
And as you slowly release with each exhale,
Again notice how your body knows just how much air you need.
Invite yourself now to ponder the opportunity of carrying this energy with you from this moment into the rest of the day.
Gently breathing in that color,
Inviting it to expand in your diaphragm deep into your belly,
Noticing that you do carry it within you already.
And as we return to the present moment,
Deepen your breath and invite your mind and your body to begin to embody this experience.
With one final deep,
Soothing,
Healing touch,
Allow your attention to drift back to your body and mind and notice if any shifts have occurred.
