Explore MeditationDouglas C Achtert, MSS, LCSW Doug is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked for the mental health, hospice, and addiction fields for nearly 15 years. They started out as a peer leading meditation groups 20 years ago until they were trained in the vipassana tradition primarily at the Against the Stream center and empowered in 2009. Doug has taught and assisted at various meditation centers across the US but primarily uses mindfulness within the therapeutic process.
