Welcome.
Thank you for meditating with me today.
We're going to do a series of affirmations that will help us to relapse,
De-stress,
And cope with what is commonly called Small T trauma.
These are events and situations that cause distress,
Fear,
And a sense of helplessness.
Small T trauma includes struggle with family members,
Infidelity,
Divorce,
Conflict with a boss or friend,
A sudden relocation or move,
Financial and other worries.
The following affirmations will help us to focus on the positive,
Reaffirm our health,
And implant important messages in our subconscious.
Affirmations have been shown to have an impact on our outlook,
Our anxiety level,
And even our brain.
One study found that affirmations activate the brain's reward centers,
And this strengthens our neural pathways.
For this meditation,
We will start with short,
Simple affirmations,
Repeated three times.
Then we will build on these affirmations.
You may wish to say them to yourself or out loud,
Or you may simply wish to focus on your breath while the affirmations are spoken.
At some point,
You'll become distracted.
Thoughts will flit in and out of your mind.
This is normal.
It happens to us all.
Simply come back to your breath and listen.
Let's settle in.
You may wish to sit in a chair or on a cushion or lie down.
Breathe in deeply.
Breathe out.
Focus on a spot a few feet in front of you or above you.
Now gently close your eyes.
I am relaxed.
I am healthy.
I feel safe.
I choose to react positively to all situations.
I feel calm.
I am enough.

We have come to the end of our meditation.
Take a moment to come back to your physical space.
Wiggle your toes,
Your fingers.
Perhaps you need to stretch.
Gently blink open your eyes.
Thank you for meditating with me today.
The light in me sees the light in you.
We are one.
