It is programmed into the nervous system and works on instinct. In this Fear Meditation, the first step is becoming aware of the emotion of fear. In this short meditation,

We're going to connect with Mother Earth and stomp our fears away.

Hi,

I'm Denzil.

But before we start,

I request you to take your shoes off and place your feet firmly on the floor,

Place them apart,

Your hands resting on your knees facing upward,

And you're breathing in nice and deep,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep inhale,

And a slow,

Gentle,

Easy exhale.

If you have something that you're fearful of in this moment,

Keep it on your mind.

That's okay,

But focus on your breathing for now.

Nice deep breath in,

And a slow,

Gentle,

Easy exhale.

Just letting the breath go,

Let it go,

Let it go,

Let it go,

And now breathe in nice and deep again,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep inhale,

And a slow,

Gentle,

Easy exhale.

Just letting the breath go,

Let it go,

Let it go,

Let it go,

Let it go,

And now breathe in nice and deep again,

And when you breathe in,

There's a certain calm that is coming to you in this moment.

Allow that calm to come to you,

And for the rest of this meditation,

We just keep deep breathing,

Nice,

Calm,

Easy exhales,

And now let's visualize your fear.

In whatever form you'd like to visualize that scene of your fear,

The circumstance of your fear,

I wish for you to bring it to mind just now.

And just process the images that come to you,

Do not react to them,

Just allow that fear to come up within you.

I am afraid in this moment.

That's how you feel right now,

Right?

I am afraid in this moment.

I want you to bring it to mind to accept that yes,

You are afraid,

And now I want you to shift focus.

I feel fearful in this moment.

It's a feeling,

Like the feeling of joy,

Like the feeling of sadness,

Like the feeling of happiness.

Fear is another feeling,

A feeling that you are feeling right now.

Every time that you feel this fear,

It robs you of an opportunity to live your life.

It holds you back.

Every time that you feel this fear,

It robs you of an experience,

The experience of life,

Because you,

In this moment then,

Are afraid to move forward.

Let's today understand this and make this the reason for letting go of this fear right now.

This fear that I feel robs me of an opportunity to live life.

Therefore,

I need to let it go.

Remember,

It's just a feeling,

And also remember,

In this moment,

You're doing the best you can to understand and move forward from this fear that you're feeling.

I want you to take a deep breath in.

I'm letting go of this feeling of fear in this moment.

I'm letting it go.

I'm letting it go.

I'm letting it go.

The feeling of fear,

Because it does not allow me to experience life in this moment.

Therefore,

I let it go.

I want you now to lift up your feet just a few inches off the ground,

And then firmly put them back with a stomp.

Let's do this again.

Breathing in nice and deep,

You lift up your feet up a little bit,

A couple of inches,

And then firmly you stomp back onto the ground.

And you're breathing in nice and deep.

And right now,

We're changing your grounding.

We're grounding the energies of fear.

I allow this energy of fear to flow through my feet into Mother Earth.

Slowly lift up your feet again and place them back firmly on Mother Earth.

Mother Earth is grounding me in this moment,

And I'm letting go of this fear.

I'm letting go of this feeling of fear in this moment.

It does not control me anymore.

I notice the feeling of growing connectedness,

My feet on the earth.

The energy is flowing through my feet and out back to Mother Earth.

Mother Earth absorbs those feelings of fear.

And I am feeling light and easy and filled with courage.

I have the courage to move forward with my life now.

With clarity,

I gain in knowledge and wisdom to move beyond my fear,

To experience my life to the fullest in every moment.

The feeling of fear is dissolved into Mother Earth.

I want you to take a nice deep breath in and feel that calm in this moment.

As you let go of that fear back into Mother Earth,

You're grounded,

You're strong,

You're courageous and you're moving forward to experience life to its fullest.

Not afraid,

Not fearful anymore,

But filled with strength,

Filled with courage,

Filled with love for yourself and this moment.

I allow love to flow through me.

I allow courage to flow through me.

I allow strength to flow through me.

I let go of this fear in this moment and let in courage and strength and love.

I want you now to breathe in nice and deep and feel that fear ebbing and feel that strength and feel that courage and feel that love for yourself in this moment.

I am strong.

I am courageous.

I am love.

And whenever you be ready,

You rub your hands together,

Place them on your eyes and with a smile that fills your countenance,

Open your eyes.
