Hello,
And welcome to today's meditation.
We'll begin by finding a comfortable place to either sit or lay down in any position that you can relax and just listen to the sound of my voice.
We'll take a few deep breaths in through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth.
As you find yourself in a comfortable position,
I invite you to begin relaxing your body as you breathe,
Continuing to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth as you allow your jaw to soften,
Allowing the muscles in the eyebrows and the cheeks to relax,
And this relaxation to travel down your body,
Relaxing the neck,
Allowing your shoulders to fall with gravity to the earth naturally,
Softening the muscles in your back and chest,
Allowing your arms to relax,
Allowing your hands to relax,
And allowing your belly to soften as well.
Taking soft,
Deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Allow this relaxation to now travel down through your hips,
Softening,
Relaxing the thighs and the calves all the way down to your feet.
With each inhale,
Breathing in peace and relaxation,
And each exhale,
Letting go of any tension,
Anything that's in the body or mind that no longer serves you and you're ready to let go of.
As you continue to relax deeper,
Connecting in this moment with how you feel,
With no judgments,
Simply just noticing how does your body feel in this moment?
What sensations do you notice,
And are there any emotions that you're feeling in your body that may pair with any of these sensations?
What do you feel,
And where do you feel it?
Softly breathing into any parts of the body or any feelings that have tension,
Breathing in fresh vital energy,
Fresh breath,
And exhaling that tension,
Giving it back to the earth as you let go.
Setting your intention,
If there's an energy you'd like to replace,
Or a feeling that you would like to feel and evolve,
Imagining whatever it is that you'd like to replace this feeling with.
Continuing to breathe into this emotion or sensation,
And first accepting that this is how we feel in this moment.
Recognizing it's okay to feel this way.
Letting go of any guilt,
Shame,
Or judgment that may go along with it.
Releasing all of that as you exhale,
And thanking these feelings or sensations for the teachers that they are,
And any lessons that they may have brought into your life.
Giving genuine gratitude for these sensations,
And now moving our awareness to our new intention,
Those feelings that we're writing in.
Really settling in and imagining what it would feel like to feel these things.
How does our body respond?
How do we respond?
Continuing to place our awareness on this feeling or intention that we have,
And humbly calling it in.
Inviting this to this feeling,
And inviting this feeling into us.
Saying internally to ourselves,
I invite you into my body,
And I invite you into my emotions.
And as you inhale,
Breathing in those feelings into your body,
And welcoming them in.
Continuing to unclench the jaw,
Relax the shoulders,
And soften your whole body as you invite these feelings in.
Giving a moment of gratitude,
Thanking these new feelings as we breathe them into our body.
Thanking them for being present,
And taking a moment to thank ourselves for taking the time out of our day to shift our feelings and engage in self-care.
Maybe giving yourself a small hug,
Whether physically or energetically.
Just allowing yourself to feel gratitude for the work that you've done.
Setting the intention to keep these feelings with us throughout the rest of the day today.
With that intention at the forefront of our mind,
I invite you whenever you're ready to begin coming back to your body,
And becoming aware of the physical sensations that you have.
Maybe gently wiggling the fingers and the toes.
Breathing a little bit deeper into the diaphragm,
And noticing your belly as it rises and falls.
Maybe rolling the neck,
Or inviting movement into your body,
However it feels most comfortable.
Saying thank you to yourself one more time for engaging in this practice,
As you slowly and gently,
Whenever you're ready,
Open your eyes and come back to the room that you're in.
