Dear friend,
Welcome to this heart self-treatment.
Some much-needed nourishment for your heart center,
Which digests so much of the world and whatever is happening in your life.
Settle into your cozy nest and feel the support that's already available for your body and heart.
Feel along the lengths of the whole back of your body.
Have your arms for the moment,
Resting loosely and comfortably at your sides.
Notice the contact points between your body and the surface beneath you,
Perhaps at your ankles,
Calves,
Backs of knees,
Backs of thighs,
Buttocks,
Small of the back,
Middle and upper back,
The shoulders,
Letting the shoulders sink and release,
The neck and the back of your head.
Connect to your breath and maybe take a slightly deeper breath and on the out breath,
Sigh out,
Letting the body release a little bit more into the surface beneath it.
Now,
If it's comfortable,
Place your hands on your upper chest with the fingers pointing inwards and the fingers closed as a way to direct and contain the energy.
If it's easier for you just to maintain the hands and arms by your side,
Do this and just direct your feeling attention into your heart center.
In the middle of your chest.
Notice to start with,
Whatever natural,
Normal sensations are present here,
Created by your hands in contact with your chest.
Your hands are your tools,
They are the ones that are listening to whatever is present here.
Perhaps there's a slight tingling or warmth or again just noticing slight pressure of contact between the palms of the hands and the chest.
Again,
Be aware of the breath.
You're not trying to change it in any way,
Just noticing its steady rhythm in and out and as a way to connect with your heart center.
You can feel the breath as if it is coming directly into the center of the heart center and hold your attention here as the breath flows out.
Just doing this for a minute or so,
So the hands on the chest are giving the body a feeling of safety and security and the breath directed into the heart center is making a good strong connection with the heart center.
Bring your attention to your hands on your heart center again and see if you can have a feeling of them deepening into the heart center,
Almost as if they could sink through the chest and make closer contact.
So just breathing with the heart,
Sinking into it and sinking now into a few minutes of silence so you can really feel and sense what's going on at your heart center.
And just check with your body as you do this,
That your shoulders are relaxed,
Your elbows are relaxed,
Sinking into a deep and beautiful peacefulness inside the heart center.
Feeling the relationship between the hands and the heart,
How the heart responds.
The breath perhaps slowing down into a deeper slower rhythm.
Feel completely at home and at ease here with your hands on your heart,
The mind naturally calming,
The breath naturally slowing and deepening.
Just letting the rhythm of your breath wash into the heart center like a freshening soothing wave and wash out again.
Your hands conveying such calm and support to your body and to your heart.
Your heart center receiving however much it needs,
Maybe it's like a sponge drinking all the energy,
Maybe it's already quite peaceful and just needs a little top up.
And as the track comes to an end,
You might want to continue with your heart center or this might be enough for now.
Sending love forward into your day and knowing that you can come back to your sacred heart whenever it needs you to.
