Over the coming week.
I'd like to take you on a journey through the natural energies of the Tao.
The experience.
Of each of these energies.
There are eight energies.
Represents a bothered owl.
And today.
.
.
We can do work with fire and a tool.
I've spent much of my life studying and teaching these energies.
And more recently,
I've been exploring a simple way of bringing them into everyday life.
I call this the Daily Pounce.
To them.
It's fire,
Francis.
Fire is courage.
It's clarity,
It's illumination.
And rather than talking about fire.
We are going to experience it.
Let's begin.
So make yourself.
Completely comfortable,
Your eyelids are gently resting already.
If you're seated,
Put both feet comfortably on the floor.
Allow your hands to rest easily in your lap.
If you're lying down,
Let your legs settle naturally and allow your hands to rest gently by your sides.
Just getting ready.
There is no way.
Else that you need to be for these next few minutes together.
There is nothing that you need to hold or that you need.
To achieve.
Eyelids are gently resting and they're not squeezed shut Just softly resting.
And now let the muscles around your eyes soften.
Allow your forehead.
To become quiet and relaxed.
Imagine that relaxation gently spreading to your scalp.
Over the crown of your head.
Down the back of your head.
Enjoy day.
And let your jaw soften.
Allow your tongue to rest easily.
And let your shoulders drop away from your ear.
And friends,
Let's take a slow and comfortable breath in.
And then just breathe out gently.
And one more time,
Breathing in.
And slowly,
Slowly breathing out.
One more time,
A comfortable breath in.
And easy breath out.
Allow yourself to become aware of the support beneath you.
The floor beneath your feet or the surface.
Beneath your body.
You are supported.
In your heart.
And you are here.
And for these next few minutes.
You can simply be pressable.
Share good for me.
And share with each other.
You know,
There were times in life.
.
.
When we search very hard for answers,
We'll think twice.
We analyze.
We ask other people what they think.
We make lists.
We resisted Adam.
And sometimes beneath all that searching,
We.
.
.
Already know.
In the Tao,
Fire is the energy of illumination.
Think about what happens when even the smallest flame appears.
In darkness.
Darkness,
It doesn't have to be forwards.
It doesn't have to be pushed away.
It simply appears.
And something that could not be seen before.
It becomes visible.
And fire,
It reminds us that charity can be like that.
It's not necessarily a great revelation.
It's not an answer to everything.
Sometimes it's just enough life.
To see where we are.
Just enough to lie.
To fool the Rats?
Bass?
And now,
In your imagination,
Begin to picture.
A small flame.
You don't need a candle beside you.
You don't need to have seen one today.
Your imagination knows fire.
Simply allow the image of a flame to appear in whatever way feels natural to you.
It might be very clear.
Perhaps you just sense it.
I don't.
Is perfectly fine.
I invite you to notice the colors.
Perhaps you can see the deep orange near the center.
The golden yellow towards the edges.
Perhaps even a hint of blue close to the base.
What do you see?
And now,
Notice how the flame moves.
It's never completely still,
Is it?
It's leaning gently,
It's rising.
It's softening and then.
.
.
Become steady again.
See how the light reaches beyond the flame itself.
Beyond the circle of warmth,
A gentle glow.
Spreading into the space around it.
Beautiful,
Isn't it?
Imagine the flame now in a darkened room.
Nothing dramatic,
Just one.
.
.
No perfect line.
And notice what happens.
The edges of things begin to appear.
The shapes become clearer.
What was hidden in shadow?
Becomes visible.
The flame.
It doesn't struggle to do this now.
It doesn't force the darkness away,
No.
So clean.
The X.
And now imagine yourself moving a little closer to the frame.
Feel this beautiful warmth.
Not high.
Just enough won't do.
To be comforting.
MSE.
Easy breath.
Let yourself become a little more aware.
Of this quiet.
And steady your mind.
And now allow the flame to become smaller.
Smaller and quieter.
Until it becomes a small point of light.
Imagine bringing that tiny point of light gently towards you,
Towards the center of your body.
Perhaps you sense it near your heart or.
.
.
Perhaps a little lower.
Somewhere completely different.
There's no right place.
It's just a small.
.
.
Inner flame.
It's warm It's steady,
It's clear.
And as you breathe in,
Imagine giving the flame just a little more air.
And as you breathe out,
Imagine the warmth spreading through you.
And bringing them near to you.
Am I?
Right?
And breathing out.
The wall.
And again,
Breathing in.
You're not.
And breathing out.
World.
For now Perhaps the light begins to illuminate something within you.
Not changing you.
Not making you anything other than you are.
Simply.
Helping you.
From their place,
I'd like to offer you a question.
You don't need to work on the answer.
Just allow the question to rest.
Gently within you.
What in your life?
Is already clear.
And now What should be clear,
Not what you wish you understood.
But what you already know.
But perhaps something came up immediately.
Perhaps nothing dead and either is perfectly fine.
Sometimes friends.
Clarity arrives as a thought and sometimes as a feeling.
Sometimes it's just a very quiet inner sense of yes.
Perhaps it's a quiet innocence of love.
And imagine now that your inner flame gently and mutely illuminates whatever.
Came into your awareness.
No judgement,
Friend.
No pressure.
No need to make a decision just yet.
I'm quiet to yours.
What am I ready to see?
Perhaps you're ready to see something that's working beautifully,
Something you've overlooked.
Something you haven't given yourself enough credit for.
Perhaps for your friend there's something.
.
.
Asking to change.
Perhaps there's a conversation waiting to happen,
Or a possibility of boundaries.
A beginning and an ending.
What was that?
The clarity is much,
Much simpler.
Whatever has appeared.
You don't need to do anything with it yet.
Simply for now.
Let yourself see.
Because fear isn't only clarity,
Fear is also courage.
Perhaps that's why we sometimes avoid caring.
Maybe.
Because once we really see something,
We need to decide what we're going to do with what we know,
With what we see.
Bring your attention.
Gently,
Gently back to your body.
If you're seated,
Feel your feet against the floor and if you're lying down.
Feel the weight of your body being supported.
Beneath you.
If it feels comfortable.
Just place one hand gently.
Over your heart.
Feel the warmth.
Of your own hand,
Your own body.
Own presence.
And breathe in.
And as you breathe out,
Imagine the inner flame becoming steadier.
Not be careful.
Do not fear sin.
Just.
.
.
Stay dear.
You know,
Courage,
It doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is simply the willingness to say.
I'm.
.
.
Sleep.
.
.
Yes!
I see you.
What is true for me.
I see what is asking for my attention.
I don't have to turn away.
I don't have to turn away.
I invite you to take another slow breath and.
.
.
Just let that settle.
There is another quality of fire that I really love.
Fire doesn't only help us see.
It helps us.
Be seen.
Sometimes our relationship with fire is about allowing a little more of ourselves to become visible.
Our ideas.
Our creativity,
Our wisdom.
Our enthusiasm,
Our truth,
Our gift.
So quietly ask yourself,
Friend,
Where might I be making myself smaller?
Than I need to be.
You don't need to become louder.
You don't need to become bolder and you don't need me.
To become someone else.
Perhaps you simply don't need to dim the light that's already there.
Imagine your inner flame giving off a gentle glow.
Enough light to fill your chest.
Your shoulder's your home.
Body.
And your light doesn't need to be anyone else's light.
It only needs you.
To be your home.
And now let's carry the fire gently into the Lactea head.
A daily pulse isn't about staying with one energy all day.
Life moves.
We need.
.
.
But we can carry an intention.
With us.
The fourth day.
Our intention today.
.
.
I choose.
See the end.
Let's breathe with that intention.
Breathing in.
I welcome Claire.
Breathing out.
I trust what I see.
And one more time,
Breathing in,
I welcome death.
And breathing out.
I trust what I see.
And now allow the image of the flame to soften.
You don't have to hold on to it.
You don't have to hold on to anything you've discovered this morning,
Just.
.
.
Nighters!
Become aware of the support beneath you.
Allow your fingers to move gently.
Perhaps just soften your shoulders.
Notice your forehead relaxed,
Your whole face quiet.
When you're ready for him to open your eyes.
Like fire.
It reminds us that even a small amount of light can change what we are able to see.
You don't need to illuminate the whole road.
Only me.
To having nothing behind you.
To see where you are now.
I'll be back,
Friend.
Only Swell And we are.
Complete.
