Greetings,
My friends.
Thank you for joining me on this Sunday morning as we continue with Metta in May.
So we are doing loving kindness and we'll be doing something a little bit different to help us with our loving kindness today.
We'll be using a mantra and I'll get into that in just a moment.
But let me tell you what I have with me today.
So here in front of me,
I have my small rain stick today instead of the larger one.
I have,
You can probably notice everything's kind of in the blue,
Kind of more of a ocean wide,
And you'll see why with the mantra in a moment.
So this is actually the water chime.
And then I have the crystal pyramid here.
I have the one of the big bowls.
I have the root,
The third eye and the heart over here.
And over here I have a shroody box that will give us our droning that we'll have today.
I have this wonderful chime here that I'll be using,
Of course,
The gong,
The other little chimes,
More bowls over here,
Tibetan bowls.
And then I have the heart crystal practitioner's singing bowl and the third eye crystal singing bowl,
Which is a practitioner bowl.
That's why it has a handle.
And that's what I'll be using for our meditation for today.
So let me tell you a little bit about what we're doing today.
And this is love for others.
And we'll be doing a healing mantra today.
And so when the Buddha spoke of love,
He did not limit it.
It includes romantic relationships,
But it is also offered for our parents,
Our children,
Our teachers,
Our friends,
Difficult people,
And strangers.
And remembering that we are interdependent,
We offer love to animals,
Plants,
Air,
Minerals,
Oceans.
This is why the blue ocean today.
Oh,
I forgot.
I do have the ocean drum today too.
Anyway,
And mountains,
Of course,
Too.
So a love mantra has a profound effect.
Because according to the Buddha,
Every thought you have goes to your subconscious.
And when activated,
It goes to your conscious mind,
Where it contributes to your moods,
Your beliefs,
Your actions.
And when you believe in love,
You will have it.
So the mantra we'll be using today,
And you can repeat this throughout the time,
Or if you want to just listen to the bowls and the other instruments and the sounds,
You can do that too.
But maybe keeping that intention in mind where our mantra is,
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Maybe even using your arms right now.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
So we'll start with having the bowls,
And we're going to start actually with the Shruti box.
Then I'll move into the bowls and the other instruments.
And then towards the end,
We'll probably have about five minutes of silence to just be with.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
So with that,
Get comfortable.
You can sit,
You can lie down,
Whatever works for you today.
So taking a nice deep breath in,
Releasing and letting it go.
Another deep breath in,
Releasing,
Releasing,
Letting it go.
A third nice deep breath in,
And releasing it,
And letting it go.
Allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm and pace.
And today for our focus,
We're using a mantra,
Or you can use the breath.
So our mantra,
Again,
Is love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
So really feeling that in your heart today,
That love is everywhere.
I welcome it,
Allow it to come into your life in whatever way it can and will.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Really feel that within your being.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Repeat one more time now.
Love is everywhere.
I welcome it into my life.
Thank you my friends for joining with me for today.
As we expand our love and realize that it is as vast as the ocean and the sky because love is everywhere.
And we can welcome it into our lives through the practice of metta or loving kindness.
And if you continue to join me the rest of this month of May,
We'll be expanding our loving kindness practice out to others,
To the natural world,
And all beings.
So my friends,
May you be happy.
May you be well.
May you be safe.
May you be peaceful and at ease.
Many blessings my friends.
