Let's begin this meditation in a comfortable position.
So maybe that's sitting down in a chair or maybe that's lying down on your back.
Just taking a moment to make yourself as comfortable as possible.
And I invite you to close your eyes if that feels okay or maybe you just take a soft gaze out in front of you.
And as you settle into this moment,
Just notice your breath without trying to change anything or breathe in a certain type of way.
Simply follow the natural pattern of your inhalations and your exhalations.
Feeling the rise and fall of your chest.
Feeling the expansion of your belly and ribs.
Just feeling the fullness of the breath and maybe acknowledging the ease that it may bring.
As you continue to just settle into this moment and into this time for pausing and of stillness,
Maybe take a moment to express gratitude.
Thanking God for today,
For this moment to pause for your life.
Whatever shows up in this moment,
Maybe just feel the warmth and the expansion of gratitude today.
And in today's practice,
I'm going to share a few Bible verses followed by an affirmation.
And if it feels okay,
I invite you to repeat the affirmation in your mind or maybe you say it out loud.
Romans 8 31,
If God is for us,
Who can be against us?
We are more than conquerors through him who loves us.
I am more than a conqueror.
Deuteronomy 31 and 6,
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid or terrified because of them.
For the Lord your God goes with you.
He will never leave you nor forsake you.
I am strong and courageous.
Second Corinthians 5 17,
Therefore,
If anyone is in Christ,
He is a new creature.
The old things passed away.
Behold new things have come.
I am not who I once was.
I am forgiven.
Matthew 6 33,
Seek the kingdom of God above all else and live righteously and he will give you everything you need.
I will seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness.
Galatians 5 22 and 23,
But the spiritual nature produces love,
Joy,
Peace,
Patience,
Kindness,
Goodness,
Faithfulness,
Gentleness and self-control.
There are no laws against things like that.
I extend love,
Joy,
Peace,
Patience,
Kindness,
Goodness,
Faithfulness,
Gentleness and self-control.
Jeremiah 29 11,
For I know the plans I have for you,
Declares the Lord.
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
Plans to give you hope and a future.
I have a future filled with hope.
Just take a moment to allow those affirmations to land on you full of faith,
Full of God,
Full of love.
I am more than a conqueror.
I am strong and courageous.
I am not who I once was.
I am forgiven.
I will seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness.
I extend love,
Joy,
Peace,
Patience,
Kindness,
Goodness,
Faithfulness,
Gentleness and self-control.
I have a future filled with hope.
And I invite you to hold on to these affirmations as you move throughout the rest of your day and as you share your light with those near and far.
And we'll close this practice with one cleansing breath,
Inhaling deeply through your nose and release it completely out of your mouth.
And when you're ready,
Gently flutter your eyes open and continue on with your day.
