Have you ever wondered how to find your optimal posture?
This is a simple way to stand taller.
Start by standing with your feet hip distance apart and toes and knees pointing forward.
Let your weight shift a bit further forward onto the toes and balls of your feet.
Then notice how it feels to shift your weight back into your heels.
Then bring your weight back to the center between those two extremes.
Similarly,
Shift your weight to the right and then to the left and then bring it back to center.
Now aim to balance your weight evenly on both feet.
Stand up tall and imagine a point in the center of your spine,
A little bit lower than where your shoulder blades would intersect.
From that spot,
Imagine drawing yourself up taller,
Right up through the top of your head.
Stand up as tall as you can.
Then from that point in the center of your spine,
Imagine a strong line reaching down through your tailbone towards the ground.
Reach up through the crown of your head and at the same time reach down through your tailbone.
Allow your shoulder blades to relax down your back and let your arms hang by your sides.
This posture may feel different from the way you normally stand,
So throughout your day remind yourself to lengthen up through the top of your head and down through your tailbone.
Thanks for joining us and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
