Lektion 2
From “Om” To “ Ch’Lu”: Each Word Is A Mantra In Itself
You may have seen what “Om” looks like visually. We are now going to explore all the individual vowels and attached significances to the vibrations that make it “Aum.” We are going to lay the foundations for a healthy “Sanskrit habit.” We will also touch on the origin of the vowels and consonants that make up “Ch’Lu.”

Let’s Add A Few More Words
Let’s do it! But, how often, how many times, when, for how long do you use a mantra? And what is a Mala? Do I need one? Let’s explore all this and practice a few approaches to your growing “Sanskrit habit” in detail together.

Open Wide
Now, let’s look at how to make it easier to understand and therefore actually DO. Indeed, the biggest single factor in practicing the refined sounds of Sanskrit is to open the mouth! Let’s delve into the Sanskrit vowels.

From Vowels To Consonants - The Whole She-Bang
You guessed it, it’s time for the consonant sounds and variations in Sanskrit. We will then recap and go through the full repertoire of vowels and consonants, setting you up for maximum experiential power as you start to fully embark on a "Sanskrit habit" for life.

Aum: The Mandukya Upanishads
So now we’re ready to start on a full-blown mantra, through repetition, and segment by segment, both speaking and singing, accompanied by my voice and guitar.
Sanskrit Phonetic: Aum ity etad akṣaram idam sarvam tasyopavyākhyānam bhūtam bhavad bhaviṣyad iti sarvam auṁkāra eva yac cānyat trikālātītaṁ tad apy auṁkāra eva
English Translation: All is OM: The whole universe is the syllable Om. Following is the exposition of Om. Everything that was, is, or will be is, in truth Om. All else which transcends time, space, and causation is also Om.

Aum: The Mandukya Upanishads (Part 2)
Continuing working through the correct pronunciation of the first verse of the Mandukya Upanishads, we will recap from the beginning and see how far we have come, working in three ways with the original Sanskrit text (listening, speaking/chanting, and singing).
