Hello,
I'm Diana and I want to welcome you to this meditation,
Light on your skin.
I want to invite you to find a quiet spot where you can be undisturbed for a little while.
Somewhere where you can set your phone or device down,
Pop your earphones in and get comfortable.
You may like to sit with your back supported and your feet flat on the floor.
Or maybe you'd rather put your feet up.
Go with whatever feels best to you today.
If you'd rather lie down,
That's totally fine as well.
Just try to choose a place where you don't usually sleep,
So it's easier to stay awake throughout this meditation.
And also,
Make sure that you remain warm enough,
So if you need it,
Grab a cozy blanket.
And then,
Just let yourself settle in and allow my voice to gently guide you.
I want to invite you to close your eyes when you feel ready and begin to drop into the present moment.
Notice how your body feels.
Become aware of any thoughts floating around.
And gently bring your attention to your breath.
There's no need to change anything.
Just notice your breathing.
Feel the cool air coming in through your nose as you breathe in.
And the warm air leaving as you breathe out.
And now,
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And sigh it out through your mouth.
And again,
A slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And a long,
Slow,
Sighing breath out through your mouth.
Let your breath settle into its own easy rhythm.
Nothing to control and nothing to change.
Now bring your awareness to the surface of your skin.
Your face.
Your arms.
Your hands.
And imagine or remember the feeling of warm spring sunlight resting gently on your skin.
Not too hot.
Not too strong.
Just soft,
Golden warmth.
Feel it touch your cheeks and your forehead.
And the bridge of your nose.
Like a quiet greeting from the day.
Let that feeling of warmth spread.
Down into your neck.
Your shoulders.
And your chest.
Feel it softening,
Easing and calming.
As if this golden light is inviting your body to relax.
There's nothing you need to do.
Nowhere you need to go.
Just this moment.
And this golden warmth.
If your mind begins to wander,
That's alright.
Simply guide it back to the feeling of the golden light on your skin.
Warm.
Soft.
Steady.
Like nature itself.
You are allowed to receive.
To rest.
To simply be here and present.
Take a slow breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Let your whole body soften just a little bit more.
And for a few quiet moments,
Just rest here.
Feeling held.
Warmed by the golden light.
And at ease.
When you feel ready,
Gently start to come back to the here and now.
Back into your body.
Back into the room.
Back into your awareness.
Take up your space again in the world around you.
This moment is yours.
As you return to the present,
Allow yourself to say yes to the nice feelings that are still with you.
That sense of peace,
Joy and calm.
Let them stay with you and grow as you go through the rest of your day.
And remember,
You can choose to keep feeling this way.
Take another deep breath in and gently let it go when you're ready.
With your eyes still closed,
Just notice what you can hear around you.
Notice how your body feels.
The surface beneath you.
Where your feet are resting.
The feeling of your clothes against your skin.
Start to move just a little.
Maybe wiggle your fingers and toes.
Roll your shoulders.
Gently move your head from side to side.
Let yourself slowly become more and more present.
Welcome these calm,
Joyful and comforting feelings to stay with you today and beyond.
Take one more deep breath in and let it go when you're ready.
And when the moment feels right,
You may open your eyes.
Take a little bit of time before moving.
Stay seated for just a moment.
Look around the room.
Notice a few things near you.
And then,
When you're ready,
You can get up and carry on with your day.
Bringing the goodness you've just experienced with you.
Letting it stay with you throughout.
