I'm Diana.
I want to welcome you to this meditation,
Creating a safe inner space.
Before we begin,
I'd like you to find a comfortable place where you can sit or lie down without being disturbed for a little while.
A place where you can put your device down and have some earphones in or on.
And then I'd like to invite you to take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And gently let it go.
And again,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
Let your shoulders soften.
Let your hands rest.
There is no pressure here.
You're invited to simply listen and follow along in whatever way feels right to you today.
Let's begin by bringing your awareness to the ground beneath you.
Notice how it supports you.
Allow yourself to settle.
Knowing that you are safe in this moment.
Nothing else is required of you.
Now gently imagine a doorway appearing in front of you.
This is a doorway to your safe inner space.
A sanctuary created by you and for you.
There's no rush to enter.
Just observe it first.
Notice the shape,
The color and the texture.
You are in control.
You may choose to open the door whenever you feel ready.
And when you feel ready,
Step inside.
This space is yours.
Here,
Nothing and no one can harm you.
Everything here is chosen by you.
Soothing.
Take a moment to look around.
What do you see?
Maybe it's a room filled with soft light.
A forest clearing.
A beach at sunset.
Or perhaps a cozy cabin with blankets and books.
Let your imagine gently build this space.
Moment by moment.
What sounds do you hear?
Waves?
Birdsong?
Silence?
What do you feel underfoot?
A warm bed?
Cool grass?
Soft carpet?
Warm sand?
Allow yourself to notice the details.
The colors.
The smells.
And the textures that bring you peace.
This space is only yours.
No one else enters unless you invite them.
It is always safe here.
You might imagine a chair.
A cushion.
Or a bed where you can rest fully.
Completely supported.
If you'd like,
You may invite a gentle,
Kind,
Loving person.
Presence to join you here.
It could be a loved one.
A protective animal.
A spirit guide.
Or simply a feeling of warmth and love.
Let them sit beside you if that feels right in this moment.
You are never alone here.
Take a few moments now to simply be in this space.
Soak it in.
Let your nervous system settle.
Let your heart rest.
Whenever you need it,
You can return to this place.
It lives inside you.
Even if the world feels chaotic,
This inner sanctuary is always just a breath away.
Now gently,
Begin to bring your awareness back to the room that you're in.
Move your fingers a little.
Wiggle your toes a little.
Feel the surface beneath you that you're sitting or lying on.
Take one more deep,
Nourishing breath in.
And as you exhale,
Thank yourself for showing up today.
You did something kind and powerful for yourself.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
You are here.
You are safe.
And you are deeply worthy of peace.
