Hello.
I want to welcome you to this meditation.
Peace begins here.
Find a comfortable position.
You may wish to close your eyes when you feel safe enough to do so,
Or you can simply soften your gaze.
And for a moment,
Allow yourself to arrive exactly as you were.
No need to fix anything.
No need to improve yourself.
No need to become calmer than you already are.
Just arrive.
Notice the surface beneath you.
The quiet support holding your body.
Notice your breathing.
Natural and unforced.
And with each exhale,
Allow a little more softening.
Perhaps your mind has been carrying noise lately.
Thoughts,
Worries,
Tension,
Inner conversations that never seem to fully settle.
Or maybe somewhere inside there has been a longing for peace.
Not perfection.
Not numbness.
Just peace.
Imagine now that peace is not something you must chase.
It is not something outside of you.
It is something that already exists underneath the noise,
Waiting patiently for you to return to it.
Like still water beneath waves.
Bring your awareness gently to your heart area.
And simply breathe there for a few moments.
Breathing in and breathing out.
You do not need to force forgiveness.
You do not need to force positivity.
You do not need to deny pain.
Peace is not pretending nothing hurts.
Peace is allowing yourself to stop fighting with what is here.
And maybe today peace looks like speaking to yourself more gently.
Maybe it looks like releasing pressure.
Maybe it looks like no longer carrying every burden of the world alone.
Imagine your breath becoming softer now.
Slower and steadier.
And as your body settles,
Imagine a quiet sense of calm spreading outward from within you.
From your heart,
Through your chest,
Through your shoulders.
Through your arms and hands.
Softening your jaw.
Softening your belly.
Softening the spaces inside you that have been bracing for too long.
And as you become more peaceful within yourself,
Imagine that peace naturally touching the people around you.
Not through force.
Not through convincing.
But through presence.
Because calm nervous systems affect other nervous systems.
Gentleness creates gentleness.
Peace teaches peace.
You do not have to heal the world tonight.
But you can create one small place of peace.
Right here inside yourself.
And that matters more than you know.
Take one deeper breath in.
And as you exhale,
Allow yourself to rest in this moment exactly as it is.
Whole enough.
Human enough.
Peaceful enough for now.
And when you're ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to the room.
Slowly and softly.
And know that you can carry this peace with you in whatever way you choose.
Thank you for joining me today.
Until next time.
