Hello and welcome.
I'm Danielle Street and I will be guiding you to manage stress and anxiety and to find peace within during this meditation.
Life is busy and things happen beyond our control.
It can lead to stress and result in anxiety and it can sometimes feel debilitating.
However,
Take comfort in knowing you are not alone.
Many of us,
Including me,
Have experiences at different times in our lives.
Stress and anxiety can leave us feeling overwhelmed at times.
However,
By practicing being mindful and focusing on your breath,
You can use this meditation to help you get out of your head and back in the present moment.
And each time it can become a little easier when you use this as a tool to support you any time of the day.
Let's begin.
Start by finding a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Really feel the support below you.
I invite you to close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Hold and then slowly exhale through your mouth.
Breathing in a feeling of calm.
Breathing out,
Letting go of any worries or thoughts.
Let's do that one more time together.
Breathing in peace and breathing out.
Releasing any tension or tightness.
Now return to your normal rhythm of breathing.
Connecting into your heartbeat.
Take a moment to scan your body.
How are you feeling?
Do you notice any areas of tension or discomfort?
Where do you feel it?
Observe the feeling or sensation without judgment.
With each breath,
Go a little deeper and feel your body.
Let go of any tension and your muscles relax more and more.
Bring your attention back to your breathing.
Feel the sensation of the air moving in and out of your nostrils with each breath.
Observe the rise and fall of your chest as you inhale and exhale.
If you feel distracted and your mind wanders know this is normal.
And gently bring your attention back to your breath.
As you continue to breathe and relax into your body.
Feel yourself really grounded and present.
Now let's take a moment to go within and observe a situation or thought without judgment that has been causing you stress or anxiety.
How does it make you feel in your body?
Just observe without getting caught up in the story.
As you continue to observe this thought or situation would it be possible to reframe this experience or story?
Could you be curious instead and ask yourself I wonder why that person is saying or doing that?
I wonder how that thing that keeps happening to me will help me to grow.
What is the higher purpose of this experience?
By reframing this stress and anxiety in the experience that you're having you are giving your mind and body inner peace to be the observer and not get caught up in the drama the catalyst for your reaction.
Now ask your inner wisdom what is the best way for me to release this stress and anxiety?
Feel the breath allow the waves of relaxation to keep washing over you knowing you are in a safe space.
What is it that I need to know in this moment in time to help me find calm and inner peace?
I will give you a moment.
Now imagine yourself letting go visualize or feel the stress and anxiety floating away from you like a balloon see it going higher and higher in the sky until it completely disappears allow yourself to feel a sense of release and also relief as you let go of this stress or anxiety knowing that you are lighter calmer and more grounded maybe you start to stand a little taller now and a smile returns to your face you notice that you feel calm safe and loved exactly as you are your beautiful energy radiates around you really feel into this and now when you are ready take a deep breath feel yourself fully present with your feet on the ground and when you are ready gently open your eyes and come back to the room you can come back to this meditation at any time when you feel the need to tap into your inner wisdom connect to the peace within Namaste
