Hi,
I'm Danielle Street and this meditation is a really easy way to help you get grounded.
We spend a lot of time thinking and in our heads and to get present and mindful we need to be grounded and in our bodies and we need to feel.
Often we spend so much time doing that we avoid feeling.
To begin get comfortable whether you are sitting or lying down.
I invite you to gently close your eyes or leave them open if you prefer.
And now gently start breathing in through your nose and breathing out.
In and out.
Allowing yourself to drop into the breath.
And now as you gently breathe in and out know that there is no where for you to go and no where to be.
Just let go of anything that is causing you stress right now at this moment.
And breathe.
Any thoughts pop into your mind just observe them like clouds passing in the sky.
Now I invite you to scan your body from head to toe and notice how it feels.
Are there any aches or pains?
Or maybe not.
Just feel,
Just observe,
Don't judge it.
And allow whatever you feel in your body to come into awareness.
Now place your hand on your heart.
Can you feel the beating of your heart?
Become aware of your breathing again.
Breathing in and breathing out.
And dropping deeper into relaxation.
Continue to release tension from your body.
Observe your thoughts and feelings with no judgement.
Now I invite you to take your hands down to your stomach just below your navel to your sacral chakra.
This is where your gut brain lives,
Where your emotions live.
What feelings are coming up for you?
Just notice and observe and don't judge.
You are being aware of your thoughts.
You are not your thoughts or emotions.
They do not make you who you are.
Now while in this relaxed space,
Imagine,
Feel,
Sense yourself at your happiest,
Most joyful self.
How does that feel?
While in this joyful state,
You may receive a message,
An image or a feeling.
This is you gifting yourself the time to hear what is important to you.
Allow the space to hear your own wisdom.
I'll give you a moment.
Now as we get ready to come back to the present,
Feel your feet on the ground.
You might like to gently wiggle your fingers to bring awareness back into your body and back into the room.
And if your eyes are closed,
I invite you to open them.
Take another beautiful breath in through the nose and out again.
Just gently focus on your surroundings as you come back into awareness of your day.
