Hey love,
Close your eyes for a moment,
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Today,
I want you to remember just how much your body has been doing for you every single moment of your life without asking for applause.
Place your hands somewhere on your body right now,
Your heart,
Your belly,
Your legs,
And let's speak gratitude together.
I am grateful for my heart,
For every beat,
Steady and constant,
Keeping me alive without me even thinking about it.
I am grateful for my lungs,
For every breath,
For the way they expand to bring me life and contract to release what I no longer need.
I am grateful for my legs,
For carrying me through every chapter,
Through joy and through struggle,
For never giving up on me.
I am grateful for my hands,
For holding,
For creating,
Writing,
Cooking,
Touching,
Loving.
I am grateful for my nervous system,
For protecting me when I've needed safety and for learning to relax when I've allowed myself to trust.
I am grateful for my skin,
For holding me together,
For feeling every warm ray of sun,
Every breeze,
Every hug.
I am grateful for my eyes,
For seeing beauty,
For showing me colors,
For holding a gaze of people I love.
I am grateful for my voice,
For expressing my truth,
My love,
My ideas,
My joy.
And most of all,
I am grateful for the way my body has never abandoned me,
Even when I have ignored it,
Pushed it too hard,
Or spoken too to it unkindly.
Take one more deep breath and whisper to yourself,
I see you,
I honor you,
I love you,
Thank you for carrying me through this life.
Your body is the only home you will ever truly live in.
Treat it like the sacred place it is.
