Hello,

My name is Dali.

Welcome to this short talk.

On reframing your thoughts.

This is a short series that I'm releasing.

To try and help you just reframe some of your thought.

How to think about them a little bit differently.

Try and bring some peace to your day.

If you've joined one of my live sessions before or you.

Listen to any of my recordings you know a lot of I talk about is just how to bring some peace to your day and actually it really quick and easy way of doing it is to just reframe how we think about certain things so this lesson is on waiting.

So.

If we accept that.

Being in the present moment.

Is the best place to be for a peaceful mind.

Then we need to stay there as long as possible.

And if I say to you that waiting is future projecting.

Does that resonate?

If we're waiting for something,

We're waiting for it to happen in the future.

If it's happening now then we're not waiting.

Let's think about when we are waiting for a friend to arrive for a meeting if we're gonna have dinner or we're meeting for a drink or a coffee You could be waiting for a bus.

Train.

And you're waiting.

That's what you're telling yourself i'm waiting so you're projecting into the future for this event to happen.

And you're not in the present moment.

So if we were to reframe wading.

Could we call it?

Simply living.

I'm living and you could actually be happy that you've got this time.

To live,

To listen to a podcast,

To read.

To just take in your surroundings.

Just watch your breath.

Instead of waiting.

Waiting is future projecting.

And actually you're not in control of your friend's journey or the bus timetable.

Whether the train's going to arrive.

Not in control of any of those things you're only in control of what you do at that time that you were waiting.

So let's call it living instead.

And actually take some joy from having that time.

To ourselves.
