Welcome to Yoga Nidra for your daily Wiccan practice.
Begin by lying down in a comfortable position with your arms by your sides and your palms facing upward.
Let your feet relax and naturally fall outward.
Close your eyes and bring your attention to the earth supporting your body.
Enter we now a place that is void of space and time,
A gateway between the worlds.
Now bring your awareness to your breath.
Observe the pattern of your breath,
But do not alter it.
Just be aware of it.
Inhale love and light,
Exhale what no longer serves you.
Spirit before me,
Spirit behind me,
Spirit to the right of me,
Spirit to the left of me,
Spirit above me and spirit below me,
Bless my intentions and keep me safe.
Bring your attention now to your heart chakra.
Here silently set your intention or sankalpa.
This is a goal or intention you wish to set for yourself.
Make this a short positive statement.
You can set your own resolve or repeat to yourself,
I am filled with magic.
Repeat this resolve to yourself three times with your full attention knowing that it will take root in your consciousness and be known to the universe.
Now bring your awareness to different parts of the body,
Starting from your feet and moving upwards,
Letting go of any tension.
Bring awareness to your toes,
The left toes relaxing,
The right toes relaxing,
The soles of the feet,
The tops of the feet,
The ankles,
Calves and knees.
Let them soften and relax.
Now bring awareness to the lower back,
Middle back,
Upper back.
Allow the muscles to soften and the spine to rest.
Notice the shoulders and let them drop away from the ears,
Releasing any tension.
Now begin to relax the arms,
The upper arms,
Elbows,
Forearms and hands.
Allow the fingers to soften and relax.
Bring awareness to the neck,
The throat,
Soften the jaw and surrounding muscles.
Allow the forehead and scalp to completely relax.
Feel the body as a whole in a deep state of rest.
Now shift your awareness to your breath.
Notice the natural flow of air as it enters and leaves the body.
Become aware of the rise and fall of the navel with each breath.
Observe the pattern of the breath,
But do not alter it,
Just be aware of it.
With each inhale,
Feel yourself relaxing even more.
As you continue to breathe naturally,
Begin to notice any sensations in the body.
You might feel warmth,
Coolness or tingling.
Simply observe these sensations without judgment or expectations,
Accepting these feelings as part of your current experience.
Now imagine yourself in the presence of the God and Goddess or your spirit guide.
The sky is clear,
The illumination of the moon brings you a sense of calm and peace.
You step into the presence of the divine,
Surrounded by elementals,
Spirits of the land and your power animals.
As you walk closer,
You feel more and more peaceful,
Your body relaxing even deeper.
You are wanted here,
You are welcome here.
Continue resting in this peaceful place for a few moments,
Absorbing any energies or messages you need to receive for this day.
Now recall your resolve or sankalpa.
Silently repeat it to yourself three times mindfully,
Allowing it to deepen within you.
Gradually bring your awareness back to the present.
Feel the surface beneath you once again.
Take a moment here,
Resting.
At your own pace,
Invite subtle movements into your fingers and toes.
Slowly bring yourself into a seated position.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes and walk in love and light the rest of your day.
