Begin by taking a few moments just to settle into the body.
Settle into this present moment.
Settle yourself into this space.
Feel that everything beyond the physical body now,
Still continuing,
Everyone else is still going about their day.
But for you,
Just for these moments,
Allow everything to slow down.
Allow everything to begin to settle into stillness.
Give permission for yourself to release the doing.
And just simply settle into this state of being.
Allow any thoughts that you've brought with you,
To just drift off beyond this stillness.
Letting go of the attachment of things to do,
Of places to be.
I just have to put them all down for this minute.
And for this stillness,
This steadiness,
To get louder.
As you settle into that stillness in the physical body,
You notice your awareness naturally land on your breath.
Just feeling the breath as it enters the body with a coolness.
As it travels down all the way into the belly,
Feeling that breath with an energetic,
Deep inhale.
And as you let the warmth of that breath go,
Let it take with it any stresses,
Any tensions,
Anything superficial you're carrying with you right now.
Just find your focus settles on each inhale and each exhale,
Releasing any attachment to the past,
Any concerns of the future.
Letting go of any expectations right now,
Perhaps for the first time today,
Just stopping,
Pausing,
Just sitting purely with this breath.
Beginning now to notice how the mind has started to settle.
It's begun to release some of that restless energy as you fall into a relaxed state of awareness.
Becoming aware of every sensation in the whole of the body.
Just feeling the energy you have today.
Now beginning to relax through the body.
Beginning by feeling the legs heavy and relaxed,
The hips sinking into the ground.
Feeling that release through the hands as they rest down by the sides or on the body.
Feel yourself just gently being held in this space.
Just stay with this feeling of deep peace,
A deep physical calm for a few full breaths.
Let your awareness come up to the eyelids.
Without opening the eyes,
Just noticing what you can see.
Any lights or colours,
Any movement or scenes here playing out.
In this space now,
I want you to see yourself standing in a clearing.
This beautiful view ahead.
Noticing any trees around you.
The colour of the sky above you.
As you begin to walk ahead,
Connecting with that feeling of the earth beneath your feet.
That sensation.
That feeling of just plugging in.
Being connected to the ground beneath you with every slow and steady step that you take.
As you continue to walk,
Take in your surroundings.
You notice any flowers that are growing through the grass,
Any fruit growing on the trees.
You feel the warmth of the sun on your face.
You come to choose a beautiful spot in which just to sit down.
A place where you can see the horizon from miles beyond you.
And taking a comfortable seat here,
You become aware of that expansiveness.
The depth of the earth beneath you.
The space all the way into the sky above you.
In this moment,
Just being completely aware of that vastness of everything beyond you.
As you remain sitting here,
The sun begins to go down.
Leaving you in a warm reddish glow.
The lights begin to dim.
The air begins to cool.
Then beside you,
You notice a small fire prepared.
With logs and sticks and a tiny kindling flame.
As you sit and turn to the fire,
Just picking up a small stick.
As you watch the flames just curl and whisper ahead of you.
Placing that stick onto the fire.
Watching it slowly burn away.
Dissolving into ash and smoke.
As you continue to watch that fire,
Just notice within yourself any negative feelings you're carrying with you.
Anything that does not serve you today.
Notice the discomfort that these negative emotions might carry in the body.
Where can you physically feel it?
Noticing these emotions without getting attached,
Without getting lost in them.
Observing them as if you were watching them in someone else.
Then picking up another one of the sticks in front of you.
Let yourself wrap that negative emotion all the way around that stick.
Let it eek out of the body as you throw it onto that fire.
Watch it burn and drift away.
And then look for anything else you're holding,
Anything else you're carrying.
It does not help you,
It does not serve you.
For each of these emotions or these feelings that you find within the body,
Wrap them around another fresh stick.
Throw them on the fire and watch them burn away.
Watching as the fire begins to dwindle and dim.
Stand yourself up and feel that lightness in the body,
The shedding of all that negative weight you've been carrying.
Turning your back on that fire,
On everything you've watched burn.
And let yourself walk away.
Notice those physical changes in the body,
Those emotions,
Those negative feelings are released.
And as you continue to walk away,
Reconnecting with that feeling of the ground beneath your feet.
That lightness in the body,
That sense of opening in the heart.
Feeling yourself returning back into your body,
Right here,
Right now.
Feel that energy that passes through you.
Notice the heaviness that was there before,
That's melted away now.
Enjoy these moments allowing yourself to just breathe and be still.
This new sense of freedom,
This ease,
This happiness that you deserve.
Returning to a deeper,
Fuller breath.
Letting that exhale take with it and remove anything that's still lingering,
Anything that needs to shift and be carried away from this practice.
Bring your awareness back into your body,
Back into being here,
Back into this present moment.
And just float in that feeling,
The lightness and the freedom in the body and in the mind.
Becoming aware of the ground beneath you,
The physical space around you.
When you are ready,
Just gently flickering the eyes open.
Letting yourself just return to this moment whenever you need.
Being in no rush,
Simply returning to your day with this new sense of ease whenever you are ready.
