Thank you everybody for joining me.
Once again,
My name is Kari.
Let's meditate together.
So if you haven't done so already,
Please get comfortable in your seated position and close down your eyes.
Time to stop.
Time.
Stop the world.
Stop absolutely everything.
And just focus on yourself.
For the next.
So many minutes.
This is your time.
To self reflect.
To become more aware.
Get just a little bit deeper.
Into all of the nooks and crannies of who you are.
Slow down your breath.
And start to allow.
Start to allow a feeling of peace.
Just by slowing down your breath.
Sending signals to the body and the mind.
That you're safe.
You can be still.
And quiet.
Relax your shoulders down,
Away from your ears.
Check all the parts of your body where you normally hold tension.
See if you can just take a gentle breath into those places.
Let's just breathe together for a few breaths.
Come into a space of Harmony and connection.
With each other.
The nice thing about when we do meditation in these groups is that you do get a sense of community.
You're not alone.
Right now,
There's other people.
Out there in the world.
Sat with you.
Doing exactly what you're doing.
And there's a sense of.
.
.
Safety and.
.
.
Harmony in that.
See if you can relax your body just a little bit more for me.
Soften all of those spaces.
Tension across the forehead.
Maybe your abdomen is tight.
The back of your neck may need a few little stretches.
Relax.
Imagine in your mind.
To your throat.
Your neck,
And your throat.
The light.
A doorway standing in front of you.
So if you open the door,
Metaphorically,
It would be like you're opening your throat,
You're opening your voice.
But just imagine that you're kind of standing there.
Friend of A door that represents.
.
.
Your voice.
Your voice.
You're mine.
Your thoughts,
Your feelings.
Everything is behind.
This door.
Allow yourself to start to see your door.
Whatever visuals come to mind.
What does it look like?
Maybe you can reach out and touch your door.
What does it feel like?
Behind this door.
Within your voice.
Is all of the years that you've been alive.
All of the memories.
All of the good times all of the difficult times.
Everything is connected to the voice.
That's behind this door.
And all of those good times and difficult times.
Put a layer of energy on the way that you speak.
Those difficult times specifically will make you sensitive about certain things in the world.
Maybe you've had bad experiences with women.
Maybe you've had bad experiences with men.
And just in general.
That taint.
The frequency,
The energy of your voice.
Maybe your voice is super sensitive to criticism.
Maybe your voice.
The voice box,
The way that you communicate all of those years.
Is super,
Super sensitive.
To being in public places.
Been around.
Crowds of people.
May trigger something inside.
That voice.
Whatever the energy is that's held inside of that door.
What's behind that door?
It's all in there.
We're gonna count to three and we're gonna open the door.
And when we open the door metaphorically,
What we're doing is saying,
We're going to allow our voice.
Alright.
We're going to allow our words,
Our feelings,
Our thoughts.
We're going to allow it all to come out.
Through our voice.
Metaphorically,
When we open the door,
We're saying We are going to speak.
Our truth.
We're going to allow ourselves to be open.
Honest and vulnerable.
It's a big deal.
It's a big move.
But as you stand looking.
.
.
This metaphorical door that represents your voice.
Maybe think for just a few moments before we open it.
About what this will do.
If we open the door today.
And we let out our voice,
Our true voice.
Then.
Let's assess.
And feel within ourselves.
Check that we're ready.
To be honest.
To stop hiding.
To stop pretending.
Oui.
Ready.
To try our best to communicate with love and compassion and grace,
Even in difficult times,
But still speak up.
Still speak our truth with as much grace as we can possibly possibly drive up.
Are we ready?
Are we ready to.
.
.
Say what needs to be sound.
In the most kindest of ways.
But still honor our own needs and wants and desires.
Still are now.
Our autonomy,
Our truth is out.
We're ready.
Ready.
So with this little action.
.
.
Of opening the door when I count to three.
Really it's a big moment,
Metaphorically.
Because you're making an agreement within yourself.
To try as hard as you can.
With all of your might.
To start to speak up for yourself.
And speak your truth.
And when you try as hard as you can with all of your might,
That's the best that you can do.
So you're also making agreements with yourself to be kind.
The process.
Of this new behaviour.
Let's do it.
So when I count to three,
On one you'll reach for the door,
On two you'll grab hold of the door handle,
And on three you'll open the door.
To your voice.
Your true voice.
To Three.
Let whatever is behind the door.
Flying a lot free.
And finally.
Let it be sung.
As long as it could possibly sing.
Let it just be free.
And with the act of this simple visualization.
You're creating.
This little contracting song with the songs.
I've agreed.
Totally my very best.
To speak my truth at all times.
Even though it may be challenging and difficult.
I'm going to try my best.
Imagine just for a second.
Pulling yourself out.
In a way.
As if you're staring down.
On yourself in the world.
Interacting with loved ones.
Friends co-workers.
However you want to see yourself.
Comfortably.
Speak in your truth.
You can see yourself doing it with compassion.
And as much kindness as possible.
But there's also confidence and assertiveness within your voice.
Let yourself be heard.
See how comfortable you look doing it.
And then if you could take a nice,
Big,
Deep breath.
All the way down to your toes.
And when you fall to capacity,
Hold the breath in.
And then exhale long and slow.
As if your breath is like a seal of approval.
A stamp of completion.
And so it is.
And then,
Very gently,
In your own time,
You're going to open your eyes and come back into this beautiful space.
Namaste,
My friends.
