This Awesome, Fun Bedtime Story For Kids is about Tucker and Leo. Leo falls madly in love with a dog that is visiting next door called Shasha. This is the 1st story of more to come!

Are you ready to meditate with Kori?

Make sure that you're laying in your bed and you're super comfortable.

Try and relax your body so that you can let go of your busy day and hopefully fall fast asleep in your bed.

Tucker and Leo were on the back garden just sniffing around doing their thing.

Tucker heard something happening next door.

He could hear the neighbours talking.

He was trying to sniff and shove his nose through the cracks on the fence.

And then his ears perked up and then his tail started wagging and then he sniffed really deep three times.

Oh Leo!

He said really loud.

Leo come here quick Leo!

Leo come here quick!

Leo ran over to what Tucker was sniffing.

He stuck his nose on the fence and started to sniff.

The smell of what he could smell was something that he'd never smelt before.

It was something that Leo only thought he would smell in his dreams.

He sniffed again.

What is it?

He said to Tucker.

Tucker said wait a minute I'm going to go look through that holey part.

You know that part of the fence that's got a little bit of a hole in it.

I'm going to go look in that part of it and I'm going to go see.

I'm going to see because whatever it is it smells delicious.

It smells so nice.

So nice.

It's like I don't know what it is Leo but it's so nice and I'm going to go see.

Maybe it's something that we can eat because you know I like to eat.

You know I like to eat.

I don't think it's a puppy because I can smell when something's a puppy and you know I like to eat puppies.

Well I like to pretend that I like to eat puppies.

It's not a puppy Leo but what is it?

I don't know.

Tucker put one of his eyes on the hole in the fence.

There were lots of people talking.

They didn't really understand what they were saying.

They were speaking in Spanish but he did understand the tone of their voices and the different pitch of their voices and the words that they were using.

To dogs have an energy and they were talking in a nice voice in a very nice tone and they sounded happy and friendly and Leo and Tucker both thought that something nice was happening next door.

Oh Leo,

Leo come and have a look,

Come and have a look said Tucker.

Leo ran over to where Tucker was where there's that one piece of wood with the hole in it that they can have a peek through.

Leo moved in as Tucker moved out of the way.

He put his face really close to the fence and looked through the hole.

He saw that there were four people there,

Two ladies and two men and they were all talking and hugging and laughing and kissing like they'd not seen each other in a really long time or Leo assumed that they just really liked each other.

Tucker said I think maybe it's family.

Leo maybe family is visiting next door but can you see what I saw?

Can you see it?

Can you see it?

Leo moved his eye around all different directions and didn't see anything at first just the four people.

He said to Tucker I don't see anything I just see the people but that's not what I can smell and then through the patio doors little paws tap tap tapped as the nails hit the concrete.

There was a white fluffy tiny little dog.

She wasn't tiny because she was a baby she was tiny because she was just petite.

She had curly fluffy hair and Leo fell in love.

His throat got really tight.

He felt like he couldn't swallow.

All of a sudden he got really hot and flustered like his fur was too thick or like it was 150 degrees outside.

He felt like he was sweating perspiring but dogs don't do that do they?

He was so nervous inside his tummy flipped and turned and he felt like he got 10,

000 butterflies flying in his tummy.

He managed to swallow and pull his face away from the fence.

He looked at Tucker and didn't know what to say.

Tucker looked at Leo and Tucker knew oh Leo no Leo and he had a big smile on his face and his tail was shaking all over the place like he was super excited that Leo had fell in love.

Oh Leo no is it that is it that what you could smell?

Could you smell her Leo?

Does she smell nice?

What does she smell like to you?

Because to me she just smells like well not a puppy but she smells really nice.

She smells to me like you know when you walk past an ice cream store right and they sell ice cream and you sniff really deep and you can smell all the different flavours of ice cream but you can also smell the waffle cones.

The waffle cones when the waffle cones are cooking and it mixes with the smell of ice cream I think it's one of my favourites smells in the world.

To me she smells a bit like that to me I just want to go over there and like sniff her and say are you hiding a waffle cone somewhere on you?

I wonder what she's called Leo?

Listen listen to the conversations Leo you might find out what she's called.

Leo put his face back at the hole in the fence and he listened and watched.

The white fluffy curly dog was prancing around the garden sniffing in all the different places a dog would sniff and then the normal black dog that lived there came bounding out onto the back garden.

He nudged the white puppy with his head a few times as if to say come on chase me come on let's play but she wasn't interested.

She had a very regal kind of demure air about her like she was expensive.

That was it Leo thought she seemed very expensive if that was even a thing.

She just looked like I don't know she was from somewhere really fancy maybe she lived in like the penthouse an apartment building or maybe she lived on a very expensive ranch with a pool.

She just seemed to have an air about her and then she started coming towards the part of the fence where Leo was peeking through the hole.

She sniffed and then sniffed again and then she stopped and stared right at the hole.

Leo swallowed or he tried to swallow.

His throat was really dry.

He kept blinking nervously.

He was absolutely certain she knew he was there.

Then the slightest smile came on her face.

She walked closer to the fence and sniffed right in the peak hole.

This made Leo jump.

He jumped back.

It was almost as if her wet nose had tickled one of his eyeballs.

And then he got brave and brought his head closer to the hole again to peek in and as he peeked in he found himself eyeball to eyeball.

She was peeking in at him.

They peeked at each other and the world stopped.

Everything around Leo completely disappeared.

He stared into her eye and she stared into his and everything changed in a matter of seconds.

His heart was beating super fast.

His whole body felt alive.

It never felt like this before.

It never felt as if he was in love before.

Love at first sight.

That was something ridiculous to Leo.

The thought of it brought him out in hives.

That this was real.

Everything he was feeling was real.

He was mesmerized.

Her eye was green and brown and it had all these pretty patterns in it.

And as he dived into her eye he dived into her like he was diving into her soul.

He felt like he knew her already.

Like he'd met her before.

Or maybe in another world,

In another lifetime,

He'd even been in love with her before.

Little did Leo know that she was feeling all the same things on the other side of the fence.

She could barely swallow.

She was hot and sweaty.

Little paws were sweating.

She was shaking.

But she was magnetically stuck to the fence.

Same as Leo,

Magnetically stuck to the fence staring into her eye as if he'd found her once again.

His long lost love.

Tucker said,

Leo move over it's my turn.

It's my turn.

I want to see her.

She smells like waffle cones.

Leo couldn't move.

It was as if his feet were cement.

Tucker kept nudging him with his head.

And Tucker has a big heavy head.

It didn't rock Leo in the slightest.

All of a sudden he was strong and brave and powerful.

That's what this dog was bringing out in him.

He wanted to bang down the fence and run across it and grab her in his arms and give her a big smooching,

Smackering kiss.

He'd never wanted to kiss a dog before.

But he wanted to kiss this one.

He wanted to hug her and hold her paw and tell her how nice she smelt.

To Leo she smelt like apple trees.

That was one of Leo's most favourite thing to pee on.

An apple tree trunk that is.

I mean he didn't actually pee on the apple part.

He peed on the trunk.

But anyway,

It was the smell.

It was like everything good in the world.

And she smelt like apple trees.

He was lost.

His brain had emptied.

It was as if all his thoughts were just fried.

Like he'd accidentally put his paw in a plug hole and he'd been zapped.

He didn't know what to say.

He didn't know what to do.

He was just feeling all the feels of being madly in love.

He heard someone call her name.

Sasha.

She was called Sasha.

Sasha.

He thought that's a nice name.

Leo managed to tell Tucker that she was called Sasha.

Tucker said,

Sasha?

Oh,

That's nice.

Sasha.

That's a nice name.

Leo,

You need to say something.

If you can see her,

Leo,

You need to talk to her.

You need to tell her that she smells like waffles.

She smells like ice cream cones.

She smells like ice cream.

She smells delicious.

Leo,

You need to tell her.

By the way,

My brother,

Tucker,

Thinks you smell like ice cream.

Tell her,

Leo.

Tell her.

Tucker was frantically sniffing along the fence,

Trying to find a different hole,

Trying to find a crack big enough to see anything,

Trying to find any way he could to find out what was going on.

But he couldn't.

And then he got bored.

He decided to go and pee over on the other side of the garden.

But Leo was just lost in time.

He was panting,

Trying to cool himself down.

And Sasha was doing the same thing on the other side of the fence.

She had the most beautiful eye,

He thought to himself.

Then he heard one of the humans shouting,

Sasha,

Sasha,

Come on,

Sasha.

It sounded as if she had to leave or go inside or something,

And his heart dropped.

He literally felt it drop out of his body and land on the ground and smash into a million pieces.

Don't go,

He managed to say.

She said,

What's your name?

And Leo said,

Leo,

And she said,

My name's Sasha.

I'm here for a week.

Leo's heart jumped back into his body,

Pulled itself back together magically and got happy all again.

Oh,

He said,

Great.

I have to go,

She said.

Oh,

Okay,

I'll see you again then.

She said,

Definitely.

Leo's heart was pounding so wildly.

He was proud of himself that he managed to talk.

Leo was in love.

He watched as Sasha waggled away with a tiny little paws and a tail up in the air.

She turned just before she went through the patio doors and gave him the sweetest smile and then disappeared into the house.

The doors closed and Leo turned around and slid down the fence.

Sasha came bounding over,

What happened?

What happened,

Leo?

What happened?

Did she talk to you?

Did she say anything?

Leo couldn't speak.

He looked like he'd been hit in the head with a boomerang or something.

Like he was unconscious,

But his eyes were open,

But he wasn't blinking.

He was just laid there with his tongue hanging out on the side,

Staring into space like his whole world had just changed in a moment.

He stayed there for ages.

He could still smell her in the air when he lifted his nose up and sniffed deeply.

Apple trees.

Ugh.

What am I going to do?

He said to himself.

Well,

We'll just have to see.
