My name is Kari.

Let's meditate together.

Come into a comfortable seated position.

Straighten your spine.

Relax your hands on your lap.

Relax your chin down slightly and close your eyes.

Start to slow everything down by slowing down your breath.

Don't strain and make your breath too deep and too long.

Just gently slow it down.

See if you can start to quieten your mind by focusing your attention inward.

Pull your attention and your awareness into your physical body.

Notice all the different sensations and the feelings inside.

Be aware of your sit bones on the chair or the surface where you're seated.

Be aware of the base of your feet.

Feel into the back of your neck so that you can purposely relax and breathe out any tension that you might be holding in your shoulders.

Relax the abdomen.

Let it fully,

Completely relax.

Don't try and hold it in.

Just soften the muscles in your tummy.

Imagine in your mind that you're walking outside.

You can hear the birds singing,

Different sounds of nature.

Imagine in your mind that you're walking towards a gate and beyond the gate is just a big wide open field and it's full of wildflowers.

As you get closer to the gate,

You start to smell them.

Notice all different perfumes and smells entering into your body and you close your eyes so that you can focus more clearly on the sweet smell that's being created by the flowers.

There's a breeze,

A very gentle breeze in the air and it makes the flowers ripple just softly swaying in the wind.

You can see bees,

Butterflies and different tiny little creatures flying around the flowers.

You open the gate.

It's a big wooden gate so it makes quite a creaking noise.

It's quite heavy and you start to walk into the field of flowers.

The little bees and butterflies feel you come in and move out of your way.

There's so many different colors around you and the sun shining down on them makes everything look so pretty and perfect.

It's like a surreal place on earth that's being created just for you to go and escape into.

You walk for quite some time and then you sit down amongst the flowers.

The grass is soft.

Eventually laying back and staring up at the sky.

Taking in a big deep breath and then as you breathe out you let go with a sigh.

A verbal sound that signifies a release.

It's time for you to relax,

Time to let go of some of that stress you've been carrying.

The earth feels soft and supportive underneath your body and you feel very safe.

The butterflies are flying around the flowers.

You can feel yourself smile just very gently but it would be like to be a butterfly.

No responsibilities.

Not a care in the world.

Just flying from flower to flower.

How nice the world would be to be a butterfly.

As you start to relax deeper into the earth.

There's a few more butterflies start to come around as if they're curious.

One of them gently lands on your left hand.

It's delicate of touches.

You watch as it just rests there moving its wings very gently.

And then another.

And then another.

It's like the butterflies are communicating with each other.

Like they know that this person needs something sweet in their life.

Something pretty and perfect.

Just for a few moments.

So many butterflies start to land all over different places on your body.

As if you're the perfect resting place.

They're all different colours and sizes.

It makes you think about when you were small.

You would open a box of candy with all different coloured wrappers.

The excitement of which one to take first.

All the different flavours.

It feels like that.

Like the butterflies are individual little gifts of sweetness for you in this moment.

Come in to relieve your stressors.

And make your world a sweeter place.

The sky is so blue today.

And the soft white clouds here and there.

You can hear the wind blowing through the trees not too far away in the distance.

And if you listen even closer you can hear children's laughter.

As if they're playing in the summer sun somewhere not too far away.

The children start to make you think about certain memories of your childhood.

The world seems such a fun place when you were small.

You take a big deep breath and imagine that you're a child once again running through the flowers playing with the butterflies.

All the joy in the world coming out in your giggles and your smiles and your singing.

Just playing as if the day would never end.

You notice when you think about being carefree and happy how your body starts to tingle.

Your heart starts to swell.

You feel light.

So light.

You could just float in the sky like one of the clouds bumping around into each other.

So big and weightless and fluffy.

It would be so nice to be a cloud you think as you lay in the field of wildflowers.

Everything is relaxed.

Your feet,

Your legs.

You feel so comfortable in this place.

Nothing or no one to disturb you.

Just the bees and the butterflies.

Your attention pulls back to them all over your body.

You can feel one very gently,

Very very gently touching your forehead.

Slowly moving its wings as if you're the perfect flower underneath it.

Just connecting to you.

Being with you.

You can feel all of your tensions just melting away as if these butterflies have some kind of magic.

Your energy shifts into feeling so happy and carefree.

Very very relaxed.

So relaxed that you could just fall to sleep.

Got a care in the world just like the child.

Just like the butterflies.

Just like the clouds.

You could just be.

Just be.

Relaxing deeper and deeper.

Feeling heavier and heavier.

So so sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.

So sleepy.
