My name is Kari.
This meditation is a very easy,
Simple,
Mind-quietening meditation.
All you have to do is follow the heartbeat,
Follow along with my instructions,
And then feel wonderful at the end of it.
Making sure that you're sat comfortably,
Close down your eyes,
Straighten your spine,
And start to just listen.
As you listen to the beat,
Slow down your breathing.
As if you're slowing down time,
Let go of everything else around you.
Be in the moment as much as you possibly can.
Keep your body very,
Very still,
And just listen.
Become an observer of what the heartbeat does to your energy.
How do you feel as you listen?
How is your body responding?
So feel your emotions,
Observe your thoughts,
And listen to your body.
How is everything reacting?
Make sure to soften your shoulders and relax your jaw.
Just checking that you're not holding any tension in your body.
If by any chance your body wants to start to move just the slightest bit with the beat,
With the rhythm of the heartbeat,
Allow your eyes to just drop and flutter.
Even though they're closed,
Just the gentlest movement of your eyes,
The slightest nod of your head,
Starting to allow the rhythm of the heartbeat to actively move your body just slightly.
If this feels good to you and it feels relaxing,
Allow your body to start to sway forward and back just a little bit with the beat,
As if you're falling into it as you lean forward and then rocking back,
Moving with the exact beat and pace of the heartbeat that you're listening to.
This heartbeat is set at 56 beats per minute.
This is said to be the beat of the planet,
The pace and frequency of Mother Earth's heartbeat.
It naturally feels relaxing to us.
Soothing.
You may feel your body softening into the beat.
If it wants to,
Let it.
Let your body soften with the gentlest movement,
The swaying or the nodding,
Or just the subtlest movement of your eyes,
Whichever feels right for you.
Let your mind be clear,
Focusing on the sound and my voice,
And the feeling,
The emotion,
The sensations that you can feel within your body.
If your body's been moving,
Bring it back to complete stillness and feel into what comes up for you when you do that.
And now,
If you just gently open your eyes,
And now,
If you just gently open your eyes,
Coming back into your space,
Taking a note of how you feel.
