Are you ready to meditate with Cori?
Lie down in your bed and make sure that you're comfortable,
Turn the lights down low,
Close down your eyes so that you can let go of your day,
Slow down your breathing,
See if you can breathe in for the count of 4 and breathe out for the count of 4,
Just so that your body starts to relax,
Breathe in 2 3 4,
Breathe out 2 3 4,
Breathe in 2 3 4,
Breathe out 2 3 4,
See if you can keep breathing just like that,
Nice and slow,
So your body can fully relax and your mind can stop thinking so much,
With your eyes closed I'd like you to imagine your favourite colour,
Whatever that colour is for you,
See if you can see it in your mind's eye,
That means see if you can see it or imagine it even though your eyes are closed,
Imagine there's a big sheet or a blanket or a curtain of your favourite colour right there in front of your face,
So it feels like you're just staring at your colour,
Now for this meditation you're going to imagine that your colour has magical powers,
Magical properties,
The magic of your colour takes away everything that's not good in your mind and your body,
So for example if we started with your feet and we pretended that we were putting a blanket over your feet that was your magical colour,
Your favourite colour,
That blanket that's on your feet right now has the ability to start to relax your body and take away any fidgeting energy,
Any irritated energy,
Any kind of energy that you might have in your feet that would stop them from relaxing,
Your magical blanket absorbs all of the negativity out of your body,
Wherever it's touching your body,
So imagine it's on your feet and it's pulling out all the negative feelings or emotions or thoughts or energy in your feet,
It's pulling it out and absorbing it like when you wipe water off the kitchen counter with a piece of kitchen roll and it pulls it all into the kitchen roll and dries the counter and cleans it up,
Imagine that your magical blanket that's on your feet is starting to do that with you,
Taking away all the bad stuff and leaving you with this really comfortable,
Relaxed,
Sleepy,
Heavy body,
See in your mind that you're pulling your blanket up over your legs all the way just before it gets to your hips and now your blanket is pulling out,
Absorbing out anything that's in this part of your body that would stop you from being super comfortable and relaxed and sleepy,
Maybe it's pulling out all the running energy,
All the playing energy,
All of the excess energy that's left from your day that you didn't get out while you played or worked out or swam or ran,
Whatever you were doing,
Maybe there's some left in there and your magical blanket all nice and soft and warm is pulling it out,
Wiping it up,
Now that your legs and your feet feel nice and comfortable and heavy and they can relax,
See yourself pulling your blanket up all the way to underneath your armpits,
So all that's out of the blanket are your arms,
Your shoulders,
Your neck and your head,
Let your body fully relax so that your blanket can absorb any funny feelings,
Any uncomfortable feelings,
Any negative emotions,
Let your blanket absorb it and take it away for you,
Imagine it's helping your heart to feel nice and happy,
It's making your tummy all relaxed and comfortable and calm,
It cleans your lungs so your lungs can breathe nice and clean,
Fresh air,
All of your organs and your digestive system is all being cleaned by your magical blanket that's your favorite color right now,
Just by laying here nice and still with me,
Remembering to take long slow deep breaths,
Let your body relax more and more into your bed,
Imagine the blanket is going over you now like a tent,
As if you were reading a book with a torch at nighttime when you're not supposed to,
Imagine your blanket is like a little safe cave and it's over your head and your neck and your shoulders and your arms,
So your entire body is covered in your magical blanket and you're sat inside or laid inside,
All comfortable and snug as a bug and the blanket is absorbing all of your thoughts that you don't want,
Any bad thoughts,
Any angry thoughts,
Any sad thoughts are all being taken away,
So you feel nice and safe,
You feel calm and happy,
So you can let your body start to completely relax,
Because it's bedtime and it's time to let your body start to fall to sleep,
Your ears,
Your eyes are all very very sleepy,
Your head,
Your forehead,
Your cheeks and your jaw are all very very comfortable and sleepy,
The front of your neck and the back of your neck all the way across your shoulders is soft and relaxed and very very sleepy,
Your arms,
Your elbows,
Your wrists and your hands feel so sleepy,
Your back,
Your tummy,
Your hips are all very very heavy and sleepy,
Your legs,
Your knees,
Ankles and feet are super tired and sleepy,
Your fingertips feel heavy and sleepy,
Your toes are heavy and sleepy,
Your hair,
Your eyebrows and your eyelashes are even sleepy,
Your brain,
Your heart and your lungs are so tired and sleepy,
Your liver,
Your kidneys,
Oh my goodness they're so so tired and sleepy,
Your intestines,
Your stomach,
Even your bowels are sleepy,
Your cells,
Your bones,
Every single muscle in your body is very very tired and extremely sleepy,
Every single cell that makes who you are,
The millions and trillions of cells are all so tired and sleepy,
From the top of your head to the bottom of your feet,
Every single part of you wants to go to sleep and tomorrow will be a whole new day and tomorrow night you can come and do this with me all over again,
Sweet dreams my little friend,
It's time to go to sleep.
