Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

Make sure that you're laying down in your bed.

You're trying to be as still as you possibly can so that your muscles can relax and your body can slow down.

Heidi,

Cherry and Veya were in the car with Vanessa,

Elsa,

Summer,

Gracie and Catherine.

They were all going to go to a duck pond that wasn't too far away from where they lived.

They were going to go feed the ducks and they were all very excited about it.

They thought that on the way there they would go through a drive-thru,

Which was always very exciting as far as Cherry was concerned because she didn't do drive-thrus very often.

So going through a drive-thru was like,

I don't know,

Something very fancy.

Something that they definitely didn't do very often.

But they were going to go through a drive-thru so they were all very excited.

They were going to get food and drinks and then when they went to the duck pond,

They would feed the ducks and sit down on a blanket and have like a picnic outside because it was a really nice day.

When they got to the drive-thru,

Vanessa,

Elsa and Summer already knew what they wanted.

Cherry had got no idea.

Veya wanted to get lemonade and an order of fries,

French fries.

Heidi was going to get the same as Veya.

Gracie and Catherine were just like Cherry,

They'd got no idea what they wanted.

Then Cherry decided she was going to get an everything bagel with cream cheese.

Gracie and Catherine liked the sound of that and they decided to order the same as Cherry.

Cherry said,

OMG,

I'm so excited.

I'm so super excited.

I know it sounds like so normal to some people,

But going through a drive-thru,

It's just so exciting.

It's so fun.

I really like it.

I like how you have to wait at the different windows and then they take your money at a different window and then you go to another window when you pick up your food and I'm just like so super excited and it's been such a long time since I had an everything bagel and cream cheese.

I can't remember the last time I had an everything bagel and cream cheese.

Can you remember the last time,

Gracie,

That you had an everything bagel and cream cheese?

Gracie said,

Um,

About two weeks ago.

Cherry said,

Oh,

Oh,

Well,

No,

For me,

It's been such a long time.

Such a very long time.

Are you excited,

Catherine?

I'm so excited.

Vanessa,

Elsa,

Summer,

Are you excited?

I'm so excited,

So excited.

Cherry was very excited.

Vea was a little bit excited.

She kept saying,

I am very hungry.

I can't wait for the drive-thru.

I am so very hungry.

Heidi was just normal.

She was very chilled out.

She decided that her fries and lemonade were all that she really cared about.

She wasn't really excited about the drive-thru.

She was excited about what you got when you went through the drive-thru.

The drive-thru itself was good.

It was fun.

There was a long line,

Which made it even more fun because the long line meant that they were in the drive-thru for a longer period of time,

Which meant that Cherry was super,

Super,

Super excited by the time she finally got her food.

They decided to not look at the food until they got to the duck pond,

And they were ready to have the picnic.

So everybody just had like packets on their laps until they got there.

When they got to the duck pond,

They threw a big,

Soft blanket on the ground.

And they decided that they were going to eat before they fed the ducks.

Cherry opened her bag.

It was a brown bag.

And when she opened it,

There was a plain bagel inside.

And that was it.

Cherry opened her mouth.

Her mouth actually dropped open.

She didn't have much say in it.

She was in shock.

It was a plain bagel with no cream cheese.

Not an everything bagel with cream cheese.

At this point,

She looked around at everyone else,

And everyone else seemed very happy as they were taking out the food from their brown bag and placing it there in front of them.

No one seemed to have the same face as what Cherry had.

Cherry said,

OMG.

OMG.

Oh,

No way.

No way,

Jose.

No.

No,

This is not happening.

I have a plain bagel,

Heidi said.

Yeah,

What's the problem?

I didn't order a plain,

Plain,

Plain,

Plain,

Airplane.

No,

No,

Plain,

Not airplane.

I did not order a plain bagel.

You heard me,

Didn't you,

Gracie?

You heard me,

Didn't you,

Catherine?

We're all supposed to got the same,

What you got.

Catherine and Gracie had an everything bagel with a packet of cream cheese.

I am not joking now.

I am not joking.

I am being very,

Very serious.

Someone,

Someone set me up.

This is not a joke.

I'm not laughing.

Can you see that was a fake laugh?

That's not how I normally laugh,

Is it?

I normally laugh like this.

That wasn't me laughing.

That was a fake laugh.

You know why it was a fake laugh?

Veya,

I'm being very serious.

Veya was just being quiet,

Staring at Cherry as if to say,

What's going on?

Veya said,

What's wrong,

Cherry?

What?

What's happened?

Cherry said,

What's happened?

She got upset.

What's happened is I have a plain bagel.

I asked for an everything bagel.

Oh,

On earth,

We'll go through a drive through and get the most boring thing in the world,

A plain bagel.

And to top it all,

No cream cheese.

How am I supposed to eat a plain bagel with no cream cheese?

I'm going to have a bite of it and I'm not going to be able to swallow it.

It's going to be like that.

Oh,

Gosh,

What was that really funny thing that we did,

Heidi,

That time that was really funny,

That wasn't funny,

That was ended up being really dangerous,

Actually,

And it wasn't funny at all.

We did like that cracker thing where you were supposed to eat Jacob's crackers or saltine crackers,

And you're supposed to put them in your mouth and eat them and not have any water and your mouth gets so dry.

And it ends up like you're trying to eat sand and you're chewing and chewing and your mouth just gets drier and drier.

And then before you know it,

You've got so much cracker in your mouth and you can't swallow it because you've got no saliva.

Oh,

I remembered that word.

So proud of myself.

Saliva.

Yeah,

You've got no saliva.

Do you remember,

Veya?

It was so funny,

But not funny.

Do you remember?

Veya said,

Yes,

I remember that.

That wasn't nice at all.

I only had one cracker and it was awful.

Cherry said,

Yeah,

No,

I had like four crackers and I could barely swallow and my mouth was dry for days.

That's what this is going to be like.

Having a plain bagel with no cream cheese.

I am seriously,

Guys,

I'm seriously not very happy at all right now.

Heidi said,

Well,

I don't think there's that much difference from a plain bagel and an everything bagel,

Cherry.

That is not the point,

Heidi.

My point is I have been duped.

I have been set up.

I have been done.

I've been I've been tricked by that lady behind that counter.

I knew she had a shifty face.

You know how I knew she had a shifty face because her eyebrows were too close together.

Heidi said,

No,

Come on,

Cherry.

That's not very nice.

That might just be her eyebrows.

Cherry said,

Exactly.

That means that means she's not trustworthy.

And I knew it.

And I saw her face and I was like,

Oh,

This is such a great experience.

Oh,

No.

Look at her eyebrows.

That's what I thought to myself.

I thought,

Oh,

No,

Her eyebrows are practically touching in the middle.

That means she's a bit shady.

She's not very trustworthy.

And then I was like suppressing it.

I was suppressing my intuition and I was pushing it down,

Thinking,

No,

Cherry,

Don't spoil your drive through experience.

Have a good time,

Cherry.

It's all going to be great.

And then and then and then I didn't listen to my intuition.

At that moment,

In that very moment,

I should have said,

Stop.

Vanessa,

Elsa,

Summer,

Gracie,

Catherine,

Stop.

I need someone else to serve me because this lady has funny eyebrows and I don't trust her.

But I didn't.

I didn't.

Do you know why?

Because I was trying to be nice.

I was trying to be nice and just enjoy the experience.

But I learned my lesson today.

I didn't speak up.

I should have spoke up.

Shouldn't have spoke up.

I should have spoke up.

Shouldn't Heidi.

Heidi.

Heidi.

Tell them I should have spoke up.

Heidi said,

Well,

You know,

We have talked about this,

Cherry,

And you're right.

If there's something that doesn't feel right or if there's something you don't like or if there's something that bothers you or if there's something that just doesn't sit right with you,

Then,

Yes,

You should speak up.

Cherry said,

I knew it,

But I didn't,

Heidi.

I didn't.

I suppressed my intuition because I thought to myself,

No,

Cherry,

Don't be silly.

It's just her eyebrows.

Who could judge someone for their eyebrows?

And then I felt bad because I was judging her because her eyebrows were so close together.

And I was like,

Cherry,

Don't do that.

I'm going to get into trouble if I say something about this girl's eyebrows.

So I didn't say anything.

And look what happened.

Plain bagel.

No cream cheese.

Gracie and Catherine both said at the same time,

You can have some of ours,

Cherry said.

Well,

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

That's very nice of you.

But it's not the point,

Is it?

What am I going to do?

What am I going to do now?

This is the worst in the world.

This is the worst day of my entire life.

Cherry fell backwards on the blanket.

All dramatic,

With one of her paws on her forehead.

She was sticking a tongue out of her mouth to the side as if she'd just literally died.

Everyone started laughing.

Cherry said,

It's not funny.

I'm very sad.

And then she went back to being very still and stuck out a tongue again as if she'd just died again.

Faye said,

Maybe you can share some of my fries.

I'll share.

Fries,

Maybe,

And bagel might go nice together.

No,

Said Cherry.

Fries and a plain bagel.

No way,

Oh,

Zay.

I don't think so,

Faye,

But thank you very much.

Even though everyone was trying to rally around Cherry and make her feel better,

They were giving her solutions and trying to share their food with her.

She didn't want it.

She didn't want any of it.

She just wanted to feel sorry for herself and be upset.

And then when everyone started to eat their food because there wasn't anything that they could do about the situation,

She got even more upset as if everyone was just now ignoring her and they'd moved on and forgot the fact that she was dying because she had a plain bagel and no cream cheese.

This made her even more upset.

So she took her dramatics to the next level and decided that she was going to go off and walk alone.

Cherry stood up.

I'm going over there and I do not want anyone to follow me and I want to just be alone.

Leave me alone.

Cherry started to walk away.

The girls and the cats looked at each other as if to say,

OK,

What do we do now?

Heidi said,

Just give her a minute.

She just needs a minute.

Heidi kept an eye on where Cherry was going.

Cherry just walked down to the water and started to feed the ducks all alone,

Very dramatically.

And then after a minute,

Heidi got up and went to talk to Cherry down by the water.

Come on,

Cherry,

What's going on?

Cherry sat down and Heidi sat next to her.

Oh,

I don't know.

Well,

I do know,

Actually,

I know what it is.

You know,

I was so sad.

I'm so sad because we barely go through a drive through ever.

And I was so excited,

Heidi.

It was like Christmas Day or something.

It was really exciting.

And then what happens?

I get disappointed and then it kind of ruined everything.

And then I felt really sorry for myself.

And then and then and then I just didn't know what to do.

And then by the time I felt sorry for myself,

I'd already got myself in a big,

Muddy puddle and I couldn't get back out then.

And then I was just so sad.

Yeah.

Heidi said,

Well,

There's no need to stay in your big,

Muddy puddle.

And it's good that you're figuring out what was going on with you and why you felt the way that you felt.

You were just disappointed,

Cherry,

And that's OK.

But it's not OK to make everyone else feel upset or everyone else have a bad time just because you had a bad time.

That's not OK,

Is it?

To ruin everyone's trip to the duck pond just because you had a bad drive through experience.

What you should do is let people share with you and just forget about it.

It's not the end of the world.

It's just a plain bagel with no cream cheese,

Right?

Heidi said,

You know what?

I just had an idea.

You know who would like this plain bagel?

Oh,

Said Cherry.

The ducks,

The ducks would like it.

No,

No,

They won't.

You're not supposed to feed ducks bread.

You're not supposed to do that.

You know,

You're supposed to just feed them like grain things,

Like,

You know,

Those Cheerio looking things,

Because otherwise it gives them tummy ache and it makes them sink to the bottom.

That's what I heard.

Oh,

Oh,

Said Heidi.

That's good to know.

We almost made all the ducks have a bad day.

Cherry started laughing.

Can you imagine?

That would be awful.

No,

Let's not do that.

They all ended up having a really nice time at the duck pond.

Cherry got over it.

She got over her disappointment.

She shared fries and everything,

Bagels with cream cheese with everyone else.

And then they had a fun time feeding the ducks the proper duck food,

Not the stuff that will make them sink to the bottom.

And then eventually they drove home.

They got cleaned up for bed.

They brushed their teeth and settled down on their big,

Soft,

Comfortable cat bed.

They talked about the day for a while.

And then eventually fell fast asleep,

Snuggling on each other.
