If you've had a stressful,
Crazy few days,
This meditation is for you.
My name is Cori,
Let's get comfortable and meditate together.
Seated in a comfortable position,
Make sure that your spine is straight,
Your hands are resting in your lap or on your knees.
You've taken the time to soften your shoulders,
Relax your jaw,
And mindfully smooth the space across your forehead and around your eyes.
Using this time to just bring some kind of balance,
To create a feeling that you are everything is okay.
Sometimes we have to do that when we're quiet and still.
Feel into your body.
You may feel tension across your shoulders.
You may feel a tightness in your tummy.
Maybe your head hurts a little bit from the stress.
Sitting quiet is just going to allow you to acknowledge the different sensations that you have inside of your body in this moment.
And sometimes it can be as simple as the recognition,
The acknowledgement of hearing your body,
What your body is trying to tell you in the times of craziness and stress.
Your body is yearning for this exact feeling,
To just sit,
To be still,
Breathe,
Allow your breath to bring in a sense of healing every time it enters into your body.
And as you exhale,
Release.
Breathe out that feeling of tightness or heaviness.
Breathe out that prickly,
Irritating sensation that can be present when we're anxious.
Breathe in a sense of calm.
Breathe out any feelings of overwhelm,
Any feelings of sinking down and going all over the stress.
Breathe it out.
Breathe in a sense of calm.
In a feeling of taking back control.
Breathe out any feelings of confusion,
Scatteredness.
This next breath,
Take a really big,
Deep breath in.
Really breathe in like you mean it,
All the way down through your body.
Bringing in that feeling of new life,
New breath.
Breathe out,
Drop your shoulders,
Let a whole wave of surrender and relaxation flow through you.
Reassurance that everything is going to be okay.
Everything has a season,
This too shall pass.
Gently open your eyes and allow yourself to feel renewed,
Just a little bit.
Recharged.
Namaste.
Until next time,
My friend.
