So to begin,
You really can leave the day behind.
The day is done.
Being and gone.
There's no need to think about all the events and situations.
Any longer.
You can take the whole day and just leave it in a box by the side of the bed.
There is no tomorrow.
Whenever tomorrow arrives.
It is still now.
And so it's always today.
There is no tomorrow.
So there really is no sense in thinking about tomorrow,
The next day.
No sense in predicting.
No sense in imagining the future.
Instead just allow yourself to rest in the here and now.
Truly allow yourself to enjoy the here and now.
It's so serene,
So peaceful.
There really is nothing happening.
So relax.
All is well.
No day,
Just gone.
But no day ahead,
There is only now.
Slow your breathing.
A sense of gently allowing the breath.
To fold.
Into its natural slowness.
Its natural deepness.
Breathing deep and slow.
Be aware.
Of all bodily sensations.
A sense of noticing the entirety of the body.
Including the sensations of breathing.
And just notice these sensations in a very neutral way.
Feeling the raw energy of the body.
As a pure.
Sensation.
How does the body feel?
Notice if there is a clenched tightness in the body.
Perhaps the residue of the day's tension and busyness.
Is it being held in the body like an energetic charge?
Just feel this.
Notice.
Just how clenched up.
The body really is.
And do not judge yourself for this.
Often the tension and tightness in the body.
Is something we hold onto unconsciously.
It's like if you have clenched your hand into a fist for long enough,
You will forget that you are doing this.
To release the fist and allow the hand to relax.
Is the ceasing of an action.
This is to unclench.
So bringing awareness to the body.
Just notice,
Are there any areas that you are unconsciously clenching?
Perhaps you forgot that you're holding this area in such a clenched tight way.
Some areas of the body.
Can feel so tight.
That we feel as though this is an automatic tension.
That we have no control over this.
But here,
Let's look deeply.
Really feel the tension in the body.
In those subtle,
Deep areas.
And with curiosity.
Interest,
And amusement.
To see if you can consciously relax.
Unclench.
It is common to find.
That this clenched up tightness is halfway between a voluntary and involuntary action.
So it's okay to allow this to be mysterious.
But nevertheless continue to consciously attempt to unclench the entire body.
Just let it go.
Let's pay some special attention.
To the very subtle areas of the body.
That we are often surprised to find we can release the tension.
So as we gently flood.
Awareness through the body.
Washing it clean of all tension.
Each area we visit.
Simply unclench and do not judge yourself if this proves tricky.
It's alright.
There is no rush.
First,
The top of the skull.
Right at the top of your head.
Might just feel like skin and bone,
But there is a lot of muscle in the skull.
So release the skull.
Around the temples.
Behind the eyes.
The forehead.
The deep area behind the nose,
Around the top of the throat.
Just release,
Unclench,
Relax.
Around the jaw.
You can even explore around the teeth.
Is there tension here?
Rallies.
At the base of the skull.
Where the head connects to the spine.
Just release the tight knots.
Right at the top of the spine.
Let them go.
And the muscles in the throat.
Think of their neck as a single muscle.
And simply unclench,
Unbind your windpipe.
The collar bones.
The top of their shoulders,
The muscle that connects the shoulder to the neck.
Allow the shoulders to drop.
Simply recognising.
The tension here is just like that closed fist.
Feels automatic.
But you can voluntarily release.
And travel down the spine in this way.
Into the mid-back.
Where the spine connects to the ribs.
Down.
Into the lumbar.
That deep,
Stiff area.
Release the grip the muscles have on the spine.
Right down.
To the base of the spine.
The lowest part of the back and the hips.
You might notice.
Areas release a little.
But then seemingly tighten back up again.
And do not be frustrated by this.
This is all part of the relaxation.
There's a release,
Contract,
Response that happens.
It's alright.
Just keep releasing.
Deep in the belly.
All the muscles and organs.
Let them become loose and floppy.
Let it all hang out.
Unblock this area.
The muscles around the ribs.
And the cavity in the chest where the heart and lungs reside.
Just relax,
Let it all go.
Into the hips.
Think of the entire pelvis as a muscle.
And bring your awareness to the front,
Not just the back.
Smooth area.
Above the genital region.
Can this be released?
Just dissolve the tension here.
And allow that melting warmth.
To flood down into the pelvic floor.
Notice just how tightly we hold the genital and anal regions.
It's alright to let go.
There can be very deep tension here.
Because we often overlook this area.
But here bringing the full light of awareness to all parts of yourself.
Release,
Relax,
Let go notice.
How much releasing all of these areas changes the mood.
And here seeing.
Just how physical a lot of our emotions really are.
Release the whole body and your mood improves.
The area where the legs connect to the hips.
Dense tightness can be felt here.
Go deep into the joint.
Notice the clenched up tightness.
Breathe deep and let go.
Now zooming out the whole picture.
Be as though you are observing your body from a distance.
You are simply witnessing the sensations of the body.
From elsewhere.
Think of the muscular structure around the skeleton to be like this tightly clenched fist holding the bones tightly.
Gradually,
Gently,
Loosen the grip.
Unbind yourself from this body.
Unclench.
Be relentless.
Be committed to this total profound.
Relaxation.
Let it all go.
Now here,
In this present moment.
No past.
No future.
There is no history hidden within this body.
Simply witness the body with total neutrality.
Have no opinion.
Do not react.
Be empty.
Open.
Clay.
Remove.
All stories from the body.
Cease all prediction for the body.
Just be.
Enjoy.
The pure sensation.
This neutral.
Light,
Energy.
Breathe deep.
Let go.
And when you are ready.
Silly.
