This is a powerful and direct meditation that brings an immediate sense of presence and peace through the principle of total acceptance. By allowing and welcoming all elements of experience in the present moment, we find that the mind will fall silent, when reality is accepted as it is, there is no need for any mind activity, and so thoughts lose their energetic charge. This can be particularly useful for the relief of the symptoms of anxiety and stress.

Bring your awareness entirely into the present moment by simply dropping all resistance to now.

Simply open yourself to a sense of allowing,

A sense of accepting all things that you are perceiving in the external or internal world.

All things are welcome in this present moment.

Even if your current state of mind is tense,

Agitated,

You feel worried or stressed or low,

Just notice that this is the current state of mind and just accept this within the present.

This state of mind is temporary and will pass,

But if it is present now,

Then just a sense of allowing,

No resistance,

No avoidance,

Just be.

Notice your bodily sensations within this present moment and include and accept this also.

Even if there is discomfort or tension,

This is fine,

All is well.

Simply observe reality as it already is,

Without the slightest urge to change anything,

To fix anything,

To alter anything.

Instead,

Just a sense of allowing everything to be as it already is and notice that gradually,

Naturally,

Things begin to soften and calm down.

There is no hurry to reach a meditative or relaxed state.

Simply be the awareness of this present moment and presence is already achieved.

Relaxation may happen in its own time or it may not.

It simply doesn't matter.

Just be aware of what is happening now.

Become aware of the sensations of breathing and rest your attention here for a while.

Just the simple,

Pure sensations of breathing without any analysis.

Be as though this were the very first time that you've ever become aware of the sensations of breathing.

Just experience breathing in the here and now.

How does it feel to breathe?

Open your awareness to everything that is present in the external world also and simply allow everything to be as it already is.

Notice that reality simply automatically continues in its own way,

According to its own natural laws,

Its own natural rhythm.

Simply don't be involved for this time.

Just let everything continue.

Realize that reality continues in the same way whether you are thinking about it or not.

So just choose to not think about it for this time.

Stay out of it and just let everything play out its usual energetic pattern.

Just don't be involved.

Realize that your body and mind also has an automatic quality to it.

The body and mind also simply continues to play out an energetic pattern according to its own natural laws,

Its own natural rhythm.

So just for this time,

Allow it to simply continue and don't be involved.

All is well.

Simply put up no resistance to the present moment.

Allow yourself to be unguarded.

Do not brace yourself against the now.

There is no sense in straining against the edges.

There is no next moment.

It simply never arrives.

So you are secure in this immediate now.

And reality leaves no trace behind it.

So there is no past.

You will not be returning to previous events.

So you are secure in the now.

In a moment,

We will be leaving the formal aspect of this meditation.

But if it is time for you to rejoin the usual daily activities,

Just see if this can be done from a more allowing space,

A more accepting space.

And notice if this changes the energetic,

Emotional experience of life.
