Listening to Autumn So this is a mindful listening practice,
And we're going to be listening to four different sounds that you might hear during autumn.
And I want you to pay attention to any of the feelings that come up,
And thoughts,
Maybe memories,
And body sensations.
And just coming back to the listening,
Once you've acknowledged these different things,
Just coming back to that listening practice.
And really letting your ears be almost like microphones so you're not going out and listening for it it's just reaching you so you might want to close your eyes So,
You can really.
.
.
Let those sounds come into your ears.
Okay,
And the first one is wind in a park.
Okay,
And the next one is Crunching Leaves.
And this is geese flying,
They might be migrating to warmer climates.
You you And finally,
Rain.
OK,
So that's our soundtrack for Autumn finished,
And I'd be really interested to know what different things came up,
So maybe memories or visuals,
But also maybe thoughts like,
Oh,
This is boring or this is going on for a bit long,
And just noticing those kind of things,
Because generally we are quite bad at listening and even in a conversation you know,
We might be waiting to have our turn to speak.
And actually the biggest gift you can give to somebody is really just being present and listening and just really absorbing what they say.
And it's a really,
It's a really good practice actually.
So well done for being present with the noise and just taking a few bigger steps breaths before you carry on with your day.
Into your belly And then gently.
Opening your eyes.
This is the kind of practice that you could do over and over again and you'll probably have lots of different thoughts come up,
Maybe different visuals,
But you can really hone your listening skills through doing something like that.
Well done.
