Hoʻoponoʻopono.
So this is a powerful Hawaiian prayer and according to Hawaiian practices we have a spiritual body,
A mental body and an emotional body that are all part of our physical body.
So the art of Hoʻoponoʻopono is to connect these three in order to promote healing.
So Hoʻoponoʻopono means to make things right and it's a prayer for forgiveness.
So there are four phrases that we say either internally or externally and these are I am sorry,
Thank you,
Forgive me and I love you.
So if you just get yourself comfortable in any position and let's just bring in a bit of relaxation into this moment closing your eyes if you want to.
Today I've got some background sounds which is the Kilauea bird which is native to Hawaii so let's just tune into those momentarily.
Wonderful sounds of nature and bringing your attention to your breath,
Simply noticing where you feel it today,
Right now.
You might want to take a deep breath in and breathe out slowly just to bring in a little bit more relaxation.
So the first phrase is I'm sorry which is kind of admitting responsibility and any kind of wrongdoing and this could be directed at yourself or anyone else.
The second is please forgive me which is asking for forgiveness in order to help you move on with your life.
The third phrase is thank you and this is showing gratitude and it doesn't matter who you are thanking,
It could be thanking yourself or your family or the universe and it can change each time we repeat the phrase as well.
And finally it's I love you so this is just opening your heart,
Giving love,
Again it could be to yourself or anything or anybody.
Okay so let's do that now.
You might want to connect with that emotional body,
Spiritual body by putting your hands over your heart.
That feels good and you can say these phrases out loud or just internally.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I love you.
I love you.
So it might make you feel emotional and it might not.
You know it's not really,
There's no right way or wrong way of feeling this or doing this but just directing these words towards whoever or even to towards thoughts and feelings.
Just using your intuition or even just saying it is powerful.
It doesn't matter if it's something that's current or long ago.
So just connecting with your breath once more.
We're going to go through them again.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I love you.
I love you.
Just resting a moment with those powerful phrases and their impact on your mind and your body.
You can say these phrases whenever throughout the day.
If you're feeling anything really.
Gratitude or sorry or sad or any emotion just when you remember they're just really,
Really powerful.
Okay,
Tuning once more into the lovely sounds of the birds.
Gently opening your eyes.
Thank you.
