Find yourself in a comfortable seated position as you take a big inhale through the nose and exhale.
Let's do that one more time.
As you inhale,
Filling up your belly and exhale as you let it all go.
Close your eyes if they aren't already as we set an intention together.
Today's meditation is all about gratitude.
We are going to recognize what really feeling in gratitude feels like for you.
Being grateful doesn't mean that something huge or major has happened in your life.
In fact,
One could argue that small moments of gratitude are much more significant because they happen more often.
A cup of coffee in the morning.
A casual chat with a friend that leaves you with a smile on your face.
That feeling you get when you allow yourself to be completely present.
Moments of joy as they are happening.
Freshly washed sheets.
Take a few quiet moments to think about something that you are grateful for.
Something that you are grateful for having experienced today.
Gratitude is one of the most powerful human emotions.
It changes your entire outlook on life.
When you are filled with gratitude,
It exudes out of you.
It flows into the world and it changes the way you approach things.
It brings you more peace.
It changes the way you see simple moments that are easy to overlook.
Some days it feels hard to find gratitude.
And I want you to know that's true for me too.
It's true for all of us.
But I invite you to consider.
What if there are no bad days?
Only bad moments in a day?
If you can find one thing to be grateful for every day in your life,
That single piece of gratitude will take you through to the other side.
Gratitude is simplicity.
And there is good in every single day.
All you have to do is look for it.
Take a deep breath in.
As you fill your body with gratitude you have created for yourself.
For the undetectable,
But ever-present air that keeps you alive.
Sometimes all it takes is a single moment.
A quick pause to shift your entire day.
When you are ready,
Take a final deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Open your eyes and return to the room around you.
