The full moon in January lands during Capricorn season.
Capricorn traditionally represents the father archetype,
While the opposing sign of Cancer embodies the mother.
These two signs sit at opposing ends,
Enveloping you in the heart of it all.
Welcome to Coached by Nikki Dyer.
So we begin here.
As you center and lift your crown to the moon,
While elongating your spine,
Feel your body connect and ground itself to your surroundings.
As you take a deep breath in through the nose,
And exhale as you let it all go.
Feel the way gravity anchors your body here,
While your mind freely flows,
Just like your breath.
Freely in,
And freely out.
Take a deep breath in here,
Holding at the top,
And release.
Your body softens,
And continues to be,
Just where you left it.
We welcome the full moon in Cancer,
At what many view as the beginning.
The start of a new calendar year.
She is a patient full moon,
Surrounded by resolutions,
And pursued goals.
But what if this time,
You chose to start your year with a different approach?
What if you permitted yourself to embrace the natural rhythm of nature?
What if you simply took a moment to slow down?
To intentionally observe your surroundings?
To appreciate the tranquility?
To recognize the bare branches,
And the frost covered ground?
What if you noticed the leisurely pace of the winter season?
The full moon in Cancer doesn't shower us with blooms and fruit.
Instead,
She offers us time,
A chance for planning and strategizing the future.
Nurturing the tiny seeds of thoughts,
Dreams,
And ideas for your life.
Each one of nature's most stunning creations start in total darkness,
Undisturbed,
Deliberate stillness,
Providing an opportunity and time for roots to grow strong.
The true creation of a solid foundation.
Take a calming breath in,
And a slow exhale out.
Feeling into the serene stillness of what's naturally happening all around you.
Plants,
Trees,
Animals,
Nothing in nature hurries through the seasons.
Only we do.
So with your eyes still softly closed,
I invite you to intentionally pause here.
To take a deep breath in,
And to let it go.
There is no need to hurry the planting process,
Or rush through the stage of nurturing and caring.
So,
I hope you enjoy this season.
Enjoy this chapter.
Spring will come soon enough.
It always finds its way back.
Taking a final deep breath in,
And a slow breath out.
Gradually bringing awareness back into your body,
To the steady rhythm of your slowed heart.
And when you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.
