When was the last time you were truly alone?
A simple moment,
Spent in your own company,
Without anyone or anything distracting you from you.
We look outside of ourselves for connection and validation,
Searching for the feeling of true belonging and acceptance from others,
Only to wonder why we never feel whole and complete,
Once we are alone.
Welcome to Coached by Nikki Dyer.
I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
Whatever serves you well today,
Take a moment to situate,
With your spine straight and your arms and legs in any position that feels just right.
Let your awareness slowly move towards your breath.
Notice the in-breath and how that feels.
You are filling this moment with life.
Notice the out-breath,
How this moment has already passed,
How you are moving on to the next.
Allow your focus to rest on the out-breath for the next few cycles,
Feeling your body slow down internally,
Surrendering to gravity,
Letting go of resistance.
As you exhale,
Find your body softening and sinking deeper and deeper into the surface below you.
Allow your body to soften a little deeper still,
Allowing each exhale to become a form of release.
When was the last time you took a moment to spend time in your own company,
To make space for you,
Without any distraction?
A moment to be kind to yourself,
To have patience and compassion for who you are and where you are.
Many of us struggle with being alone.
To feel whole and complete without anyone else making us feel this way.
There is meaning and purpose and simplicity to making space and time to be with yourself.
So take the next 60 seconds to just be with you.
Because a better world always starts within.
Let this experience serve as a reminder that you have the capacity to accomplish great things.
That kindness always begins within,
With how you speak to yourself,
With how you choose to respond to life.
True intimacy is created within yourself and it is the root for how you inevitably show up in other relationships.
Your life and relationships are a mirror for how you are feeling on the inside.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
Start to notice yourself feeling brighter and lighter and more loving towards yourself and all that you have just created.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes and return back to the space around you.
