A beautiful guided sleep meditation that will have you falling asleep in minutes.
Close your eyes when you are ready and allow your body to settle.
Start by taking a deep breath in through the nose slowly and with each breath out,
Feel your body softening,
Encouraging your breath out to gradually deepen.
And to feel it starting to last longer,
And your breath in,
Feel your body relax deeper as you breathe,
Feel the air going into your lungs and back out again.
And as your body continues to breathe for you,
Start to notice a relaxed awareness.
And as you continue to soften and follow my voice,
Begin to use your imagination.
In your mind,
Imagine you are standing at the top of a sand-covered dune as you look out onto a vast ocean scene,
Surrounded by seagrass gently swaying from the warm breeze.
Hear the gentle rhythm of the ocean waves as they rush onto the sand-covered shores.
Notice how the rhythm of the waves matches the rhythm of your breath,
How they flow in,
Smelling the fresh and dewy saltwater air.
And take time to let this scene continue to unfold in your mind.
Notice the energy or feelings in this safe place you have created.
You feel grounded and connected to Mother Earth as you feel your toes flirting with the soft sand beneath you.
This place is special,
An inner sanctuary,
An ideal place for relaxation and peace.
Feel your body in a state of calm and stillness.
Start to imagine yourself safely standing at the top of 10 steps leading down.
And in a moment,
As I begin to count down from 10 to 1,
You will effortlessly descend the stairs,
Finding yourself on step 10 now.
You are aware of how relaxed you have already become,
Your private sanctuary,
A place where you are welcome and accepted to just be.
Moving down to step 9,
You are aware that powerful emotional healing is taking place right now.
On to step 8,
You are relaxing further,
And your inner wisdom is strong here.
Down to step 7,
You have compassion and love for yourself.
On to step 6,
You are feeling an undeniable sense of calm and peace.
Moving down on to step 5,
You are now halfway down and still.
You can go deeper.
As you continue to let go,
You have a clear sense of safety as your heart rate slows.
On to step 4 now,
You feel a comforting warmth radiating through you.
Down another level to step 3,
You are in this peaceful place you have created for yourself.
And on to step 2,
Here you have a deeper understanding of who you are meant to be.
You can safely explore different parts with your curiosity,
Compassion,
And love.
And finally,
Down to step 1,
You are all the way down.
You have unlocked the deepest state of relaxation.
You are healing.
You see your soul for who it is.
You have an internal knowing of who and what you are meant for in this lifetime.
And still,
You can go deeper.
Now there's nothing more for you to do.
No thoughts to be had.
Simply rest.
