Welcome to this meditation for rest,

Relaxation,

Sleep and inner peace.

Lie down gently and feel your body surrendering,

Melting into the surface beneath you,

Like a river merging with the ocean.

With each breath,

Feel yourself like a leaf floating effortlessly on the still waters of a serene lake.

Closing your eyes softly,

Turning your attention inward,

Away from the noise of the outer world.

As you let go of the distractions and the worries that weigh on your mind,

Reflect on the impermanence of all things.

All thoughts,

Like clouds in the sky,

Appear and dissolve.

You do not need to chase them or hold them,

Simply observe and let them pass.

Let go of the illusion of control and connect with the peace already present within you.

In this stillness,

Remember that all things rise,

Exist for a while and pass away.

Your breath reminds you of this truth.

Each inhale and exhale,

A cycle of arising and letting go.

During the day,

Your mind may have been like a stormy sea,

Filled with ripples of thought,

Waves of worry.

And now,

In this quiet moment,

Allow the storm to settle.

The past is behind you,

The future has not yet come.

It's an unwritten chapter,

Still unfolding.

The only reality is this moment,

Here and now.

Feel your breath as it enters and leaves your body,

Anchoring you to the present.

With each breath,

Feel yourself returning home,

To the centre of your being,

A place of calmness,

Clarity and compassion.

Concentrate on this.

When you are still,

The truth of life becomes clear.

The nature of peace is not something you must seek elsewhere.

It is already within you,

Waiting to be noticed.

The mind is like a clear pool of water.

When undisturbed,

It reflects everything as it truly is.

May you allow this understanding to guide you,

Just as a candle's flame is steady in a windless room.

Your mind can become steady as you release tension and rest in the simplicity of just being.

As you prepare for a restful sleep,

Imagine your body as a tree shedding its leaves.

Each exhale releases a worry,
