Good morning and welcome to your meditation practice today.
I'm pleased you're here.
So for our practice this morning you can be seated or you can be lying down.
Make sure you find a comfortable position and allow your spine to be long and straight.
Settle in with a few rounds of deeper breaths,
Allowing the inhalation breath and the exhalation breath to be smooth and even.
If it feels good,
Allow your eyes to gently close or you can maintain a soft gaze.
Feel that the breath can return back to its normal rhythm now.
And as you do,
Start to become more aware of the body breathing with non-judgmental awareness.
Observing the air moving in,
Observing the air moving out.
Watching your breath.
Maybe you can feel your chest or your belly moving with each breath.
Without any expectations.
Without any judgement or comment.
There's nothing specific to achieve here.
Allow the ocean breath to fill your lungs as you inhale and exhale.
Just be.
And if your mind wanders,
Feels okay.
Gently move your awareness back to your breath.
Your breath anchors you to the present moment.
The here and now.
Keep coming back to the breath.
Air moving in.
Air moving out.
Just observing your breath with self-acceptance and self-compassion.
This is a time of no time.
A few moments of stillness and awareness and a presence of being with yourself at the start of the day.
Noticing the body breathing.
Being moment by moment.
Getting in touch with your breath.
And feeling the sensations in your body.
Note any thoughts or feelings that may be present.
And let mindfulness embrace this moment.
Preparing for your day.
Remembering that today is a gift.
This day on planet Earth is full of opportunities and possibilities.
Feeling calm,
Centred and grounded.
Be grateful for today with open-hearted acceptance.
Notice a sense of wellbeing that's present in your mind and in your body.
And take this with you for the rest of your day.
Letting any focus fade now.
Awareness coming back into the room or the space that you're in.
Take a deep breath in and gently and evenly breathe out.
Ready to continue with your day.
Thank you for joining me.
And I'll see you back here again soon.
