Welcome to this meditation created to guide you into a night of deep and restful sleep.

Find a comfortable position in your bed,

Allowing your body to settle in.

Close your eyes and take a slow,

Deep breath in,

Filling your lungs with calm and peace.

And then as you gently exhale,

Letting go of the days,

Stresses and worries.

This is your time to rest,

To relax and to sleep deeply.

As you continue to breathe deeply and slowly,

Let your body sink into the softness of your bed.

Feel the tension melting away from your muscles,

Starting from your head.

Then feel the relaxation moving down through your neck,

Into your shoulders and arms,

Down the front of your body and the back of your body,

Down into your legs,

All the way down to your toes.

Tonight you have a choice and that choice is to rest.

You have the power to choose peace,

To choose relaxation,

To choose deep,

Restful sleep.

Imagine that with each breath you take,

You're making that choice.

You are choosing to let go of any thoughts or concerns that may be lingering in your mind.

In this moment,

Know that everything can wait until tomorrow.

You've done all you can do today.

You've done your best.

Right now,

Your only focus is on sleeping deeply and peacefully.

You are in control of your mind and your body and you choose to let them both rest.

As you breathe in,

Say to yourself,

I choose to rest.

As you rest and as you breathe out,

Feel your body relax even more deeply,

Sinking further into your bed,

Knowing that you are safe and it's time to sleep.

Gently bring your attention to your heart.

Imagine a warm,

Gentle light glowing within you,

Radiating love and comfort.

This is the light of love that you have for yourself,

For your family and for those you hold dear.

Let this love fill you up,

Bringing a deep sense of peace and contentment.

As you lie here,

Ready to drift off to sleep,

Surround yourself with positive thoughts.

Think of a moment that brought you joy today or a memory that makes you smile.

Let this thought or memory be your companion as you drift into a world of sleep and dreams.

Know that you're loved and that love surrounds you as you sleep.

Feel the warmth of this love,

Like a soft blanket wrapping you up,

Making you feel safe and secure.

This love will watch over you as you sleep,
