Welcome to your practice and thank you for joining me.
You can be seated or lying down for this.
Take a moment to get comfortable.
Notice the support beneath you.
Gently begin to focus on your mind.
Noticing the thoughts in your mind.
And allowing them to just be there.
No need to attach to them.
No need to resist them.
Thoughts come and go.
They ebb and flow.
As best you can,
Observe the movement of your mind.
Without making a judgement.
Let it be.
The mind is designed to think.
There are times when the mind feels chaotic and busy.
And other times it's more relaxed and there's a stillness.
Just let it be.
Whatever it is in this moment.
Whether there's a busyness or a peaceful stillness.
Observing with non-judgmental awareness.
Because you are not your mind.
Yes you have a mind.
But you are not your mind.
Now gently start to move your awareness.
And notice what emotions are present.
And maybe what emotions are absent.
Check in with how you feel in this moment.
Without comment or judgement.
Just notice.
Become aware of where in the body you feel these emotions.
Maybe they're sensations or tingling.
Vibration.
Pressure.
Maybe there's a warmth or a coolness.
Notice if there's any intensity to the emotion or an energy.
Emotions are dynamic and they flow.
There's a movement to them.
They rise and fall.
Let it be.
Observing with non-judgmental awareness.
Because yes you have emotions but you are not your emotions.
Whatever your mind is doing.
Whatever your emotions are doing.
You can be still and peaceful.
Sitting or lying in stillness.
And observing the flow and the dynamic nature of thoughts and feelings.
Ever moving and ever changing.
And as you let it be ask yourself.
Just for today how can I show myself compassion?
Just for today how can I show others compassion?
Just for today how can I go with the flow and let life be as it is?
Letting any focus fade now.
Feel your awareness coming back into the room or back into the space that you're in.
Taking a deep breath in.
And gently and evenly breathing out.
Feeling ready to continue with your day.
Thank you for joining me and I'll see you back here again soon.
