This meditation has been specifically designed to assist you to cultivate relaxation by uncovering a sense of peace that exists underneath any thoughts or feelings or distractions that you might be confronted with so that you can relax completely and then drift off to sleep.
Whenever you feel agitated,
Out of balance and harmony,
See the truth as it is.
Every moment is ever-changing and impermanent.
Every sensation is ever in transformation.
Every thought comes and goes.
Nothing is here to stay except our divine peace and happiness.
Practice this divine peace and happiness and all the imbalance will fade,
Pass away to change into absolute equanimity.
Making sure that you are ready for bed before we begin.
Finding a comfortable position.
Taking a moment to settle in.
Gently closing the eyes if that feels good or maintaining a soft gaze.
Feel the weight of the body connecting with the surface beneath you.
Tuning in to the breath.
Our breath is accompanying us every moment of our life and therefore we come back to the breath to be present,
To be alive.
We keep our focus with the breathing to stay present and harmonious.
With breath there comes life.
There is life within awareness.
Is the breathing calm and equal?
The awareness can travel peacefully within our life.
Is the flow of the breath in peace?
Our life likewise is.
Therefore focus on the breathing patiently and persistently.
Observing,
Seeing the everlasting changes and be aware of all the sensations.
Whatever arises will come and go,
Rise and pass away.
Focus on the small area from the upper lip to the nostrils and watch the breath moving in and the breath moving out.
Intensely inhale once and maintain the focus on that part of the face with absolute awareness of the breath.
Maintain and cultivate awareness of the breath.
Befriend it and let it be the friend for life.
Evenly flowing,
Naturally growing our sense of self.
Trust that there is harmony and peace.
Know that the breath is there.
Relax and breathe.
In a single moment of uncertainty find truth in the reality of life.
Breathing is real and essential.
Breathe and evenly,
Patiently give yourself the trust to be your own master.
Practice diligently and cultivate mastery over the breathing.
Know that the breath is there.

Equally,

In balance and harmony.

Drifting off to sleep.
Dreamily drifting.
