Welcome to the Solar Plexus Chakra Meditation.
I invite you to find a comfortable place to sit or lie down for this short meditation and begin to close the eyes.
Leave behind where you have just been,
Where your thoughts were just wandering,
And I invite you to be here now,
Present in the moment and in your body.
Begin to notice your breath.
Begin to notice its rise and fall.
And on your next inhale,
Breathing in intentionally for a count of four,
Allowing the belly to expand and hold.
And let it all go on your exhale.
Repeat,
Inhaling for a count of four,
Holding for four.
And let it all go.
And on the deepest inhale yet,
One more time,
Breathing deep into the belly,
Holding for four,
And release the breath completely out.
Now allowing the breath to do what it wants,
Allowing your mind to scan your body now for any place that it might be clinging on,
For any place that there might be tension that's being held.
Noticing and sending love to this area.
If anything feels clenched,
Sending release.
Noticing your jaw.
Noticing the space between your eyebrows.
Noticing the center of the chest.
And then draw your awareness to your solar plexus.
Just above the belly button.
Notice if you feel any tension here.
Any constriction.
And on your next inhale,
Draw the inhale into this space,
The solar plexus.
And let it all go,
Releasing any store tension whatsoever.
Once again,
Breathing deeply into the solar plexus.
And releasing,
Letting it all go and fall away to the earth.
The solar plexus is associated with our sense of personal will,
Our drive,
Our ego,
Our ambition.
When we're not feeling in the driver's seat,
This area can become tight,
Feel constricted,
Uncomfortable.
Imagine a yellow glowing healing light flowing into this area.
Now this can come to you from above if you're lying down,
This can come through the crown chakra through the top of the head straight into the solar plexus.
Whichever visual resonates for you.
And notice this golden warm healing light.
Forming this space,
Soothing this space.
And as it spends more time here,
It begins to soften and relax the solar plexus.
The solar plexus is also aligned with our joy,
That bright radiant shade of yellow,
Our personal joy,
Our wish fulfillment.
Continue to imagine the golden light radiating here.
And notice what it begins to do.
As you inhale,
Does it grow brighter?
As you exhale,
Does it expand?
Is it iridescent?
Is it opaque?
As you continue throughout your day following this meditation,
Begin checking in with your solar plexus,
Noticing if it feels tight or constricted,
Noticing if it feels relaxed if you feel at ease.
Knowing that this area does raise questions around self worth and value.
And when you are ready,
Begin to draw your awareness away from the solar plexus,
Drawing it up into the heart space,
Allowing the heart space to feel deep and expansive.
On your next inhale,
Draw in the air into the heart for a count of five.
Holding for a count of five and letting it go for a slow count of 10 on the exhale.
And begin to draw your awareness to the fingers,
To the toes,
Maybe wiggling the fingers and the toes.
Maybe you feel inclined to rock your head side to side.
And when you are ready,
Begin to open the eyes.
Returning to this space.
And begin to draw your awareness away from the heart space.
