Welcome to this lower chakra affirmation meditation.

I invite you to find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and close your eyes.

And if you tend to hunch forward,

Go ahead and gently roll your shoulders back.

And notice right away how good it feels to take this time for yourself and to be present here and now in your body.

Now draw a deep inhale into the belly and release.

Draw the inhale down into the hook of the tailbone,

Letting go of your worries and releasing the breath entirely.

And the deepest inhale yet,

And exhale completely.

Now breathing at your own pace,

Notice the points of contact that you have with the floor or with the bed or with your mat.

And notice how you are held,

How the earth can carry you,

How it can carry our worries,

How it can literally transmute our worries.

And begin to draw your focus to the base of your spine,

To the root chakra.

This is the home of our grounding,

Our stability,

Our inner safety and security.

And notice how you are held here,

How the root holds you like the earth.

And either repeat or receive the affirmation,

I am safe and secure in my body.

And on your next inhale,

Draw this into the space just below the navel into the sacral chakra.

This is the seat of our passion,

Our creativity,

And that spark that draws our thought into tangible form.

Draw a deep inhale into this space and release.

And either repeat or receive the affirmation,

I celebrate and recognize my unique creative capacity.

And on your next inhale,

Drawing your awareness just above the navel into the solar plexus.

And again,

Draw one intentional deep inhale into the space and release it completely.

Notice what you feel in your solar plexus.

Does it feel free and light and comfortable?

Does it feel tight and restricted?

The solar plexus is the center connected with our presence out into the world.

It's tied to our self-esteem and it's tied to our personal will and our drive.

And repeat or receive the affirmation,

I stand in alignment with the true essence of who I am and find inner strength.

Now draw your awareness into the center of your chest and your heart chakra.

Draw an inhale for a count of five into the heart.

Hold for a count of five and let it all go for five.

The heart space is the seat of our unconditional love and it holds our capacity for self-love and for forgiveness.

It's so powerful that it's the connecting point between these three lower chakras and the upper more spiritual chakras.

Draw another deep inhale into the heart space and release.

And simply notice what you feel in the heart.

Does it feel open and warm and receptive?

Or does it feel tight or constricted?

And either repeat or receive the affirmation,

I am surrounded by love,

Worthy of love and enough as I am.

Taking one last inhale into the center of the heart chakra and let it all go.

And now draw the inhale into the base of the spine at the root and releasing the exhale completely.

And when you are ready,

Wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes.

Gently basking in and sitting in this receptive energy and the goodness of taking the time to become more present here and now in our body.

And when you are ready,

Gently open your eyes and greet the day.
