This walking meditation will help you feel more present and connected as you move your body,
As you connect to the earth.
So here you are taking one step in front of the other.
Feel your feet landing on the earth.
Allow your breath to begin to find the pattern that allows the breath and walking to happen together.
Breathing and walking.
Full inhale and full exhale as you have one foot in front of the other.
Feeling the feet on the earth as you breathe in the freshness of each new breath and fully exhale each breath out.
Be mindful of your pace.
Perhaps you're walking a little slower than normal.
Let your gaze just be at the earth,
At the ground in front of you as you walk.
Just feeling steady and consistent with each step and each breath.
And allow your gaze to lift up.
Just coming to see what you see in front of you and around you.
Are there flowers or leaves?
Birds?
Other animals?
Or maybe there's the passing of cars and people.
Whatever it is,
Whatever you're seeing,
Just stay connected with the feet,
Connecting to the earth,
The breath,
Breathing in and out of the body and just noticing.
Just watching.
Just seeing what's in front of you and around you.
Then awaken the ears and listen as you walk and as you breathe and as you notice what's around you.
Just listening.
Just letting the listening sense be the loudest at this moment.
Just hearing what you hear around you.
Receiving all the sounds.
And now as you walk and as you breathe,
Just be aware of the environment around you.
Is there a breeze blowing against your skin?
Is the air cool or perhaps it's really warm?
Just feeling.
Is your body feeling warmer from moving?
Just noticing.
Just noticing your body in relation to the environment you're in.
Continuing to walk and continuing to breathe.
Now as you continue to walk and as you continue to breathe,
Allow your awareness now to come to your heart.
The earth that you're walking upon houses an energy that is married with the energy that lives at your heart space.
As you feel connected to this earth,
Feel the support of the earth beneath your feet,
Beneath each step you're taking.
Connect to your heart.
You may even want to place one hand over your heart space.
And in this moment,
Just come to connect to what do you feel joyful for?
What is the joy in this moment?
Even if it's as simple as the ability to move.
And then continuing to walk and breathe as you connect to something that you're feeling grateful for.
As you release out of this meditation one final invitation to come to an intention for the rest of your day.
Beginning an intention with the words,
I am,
Or I allow,
Or I give permission to,
Whatever feels best for you.
And just coming to an intention that you want to carry with you for the rest of your day and repeating it three times.
Closing by thanking yourself for taking this time to be mindful.
Taking this time to bring consciousness as you move about your day.
Thanking yourself for taking this time to connect.
