Come to a comfortable seated position or lie down on your back.
Let your palms open up to the sky.
Begin to notice the breath,
The simple ebb and flow of the breath in and out of the body.
Not changing anything at first,
Just noticing.
Then come to be aware that as you notice,
Your breath naturally wants to lengthen.
So follow that desire to lengthen the breath.
Noticing the inhale as much as it will go and completing the exhale as much as it will go.
Simply inhaling fully and completely and exhaling fully and completely.
On your next inhale,
Take a moment to pause at the very top just for one moment.
And on the exhale that follows,
Take a moment to pause for a moment at the very bottom of the exhale.
Pausing at the top for a moment after a complete inhale.
Pausing again at the bottom after a complete exhale.
Now just letting the breath relax and come back to normal.
Take a moment to think of one word that you would like to take with you as you move throughout the rest of your day.
And now just take a moment to plant that word right into the center of your heart.
And take one last breath as a way to plant it more deeply and root it more deeply.
