So welcome to a meditation for embodied alignment.
I want you to find a quiet and comfortable space where you can sit or lie down.
Close your eyes and take a few deep,
Slow breaths,
Allowing your body to relax with each exhale.
And as you settle into this moment,
I want you to bring your awareness to the idea of alignment,
That state of being where you are in harmony with your authentic self and on the right path.
And throughout this meditation,
We are going to explore how your body responds when you are in alignment.
So let us begin by rooting into the present.
And I want you to begin by grounding yourself in the present moment.
Let us begin by rooting our whole body into this present moment,
Noticing the surface your body is resting on,
Really feeling the weight of your body.
How does the surface feel underneath you?
Is it soft,
Hard,
Warm,
Cold?
How do you feel it in your body?
What points of your body are touching the ground beneath you?
Really noticing each point that meets the surface,
Each connection.
And now I want you to imagine that there are roots extending from your body into the earth.
And these roots are growing stronger and stronger as they connect you to the steady and supportive energy.
Feeling that connection from each point in your body that meets the ground,
There is a root that is extending into the earth.
Now I want you to shift your attention to your breath.
Now I want you to shift your attention to your breath.
Notice the rhythm of your inhalations and exhalations,
And noticing the pause between your inhale and your exhale,
Connecting to that flow,
That cadence of air as it's moving in and through your body.
And with your next inhale,
I want you to envision yourself drawing in clarity and self-awareness.
And with each exhale,
I want you to release any tension or distractions.
Inhale,
Clarity,
And exhale,
Distractions.
Inhale,
Self-awareness,
And exhale,
Tension.
Another round.
So inhale,
Clarity,
And exhale,
Any distractions.
Inhale,
Self-awareness,
And exhale,
Any tension.
I'm just gonna leave you for a short moment to do a few rounds on your own.
Now I want you to direct your focus to any physical sensations.
Start with your feet.
Are they warm,
Cool,
Or neutral?
Do you sense any tingling,
Pulsing,
Or gentle vibration?
Now slowly moving your attention upwards,
Exploring each part of your body.
Notice any areas of ease or tension.
And this is an exercise of observation.
You are separate from the ease and you are separate from the tension.
You are observing each aspect of your body as you move up through your legs.
Just noticing any key points in your body.
What's the temperature like?
Can you feel any tingling or pulsing?
Does it feel neutral,
Or is there tension that's being held there?
Moving all the way up into your pelvis,
Into your belly,
Into your ribs,
Your chest,
To your shoulders,
Your right shoulder,
Your left shoulder,
And down both arms and into your hands.
And just bringing the awareness to the base of your spine and slowly moving all the way up your spine,
Into your neck,
Your jaw,
Around your eyes,
And your head.
Knowing that your body holds immense wisdom.
And as you continue scanning,
Pay attention to any areas that seem to respond positively.
These could be places that feel open,
Light,
Or expansive.
It might also be accompanied by a sense of warmth or comfort.
So continuing the practice of noticing any areas in your body.
Now I want you to shift your awareness to your emotions.
And without judgement,
Inquire how you are feeling in this moment.
Are you experiencing joy,
Contentment,
Or enthusiasm?
These emotions often accompany alignment.
And if you encounter any negative emotions,
Acknowledge them.
Sit with them.
And imagine them gently softening with each breath.
We're just going to sit here for a moment,
Creating that awareness of your emotions.
Without judgement,
Without holding onto a story of how you got there.
Just being with that feeling.
Is it yours?
Could you be holding on an emotion that belongs to somebody else?
In which case,
With your next exhale,
Giving it permission to be released.
Just sitting with your feelings.
Knowing that there's no good or bad.
It's an emotion.
Allowing it all to move through your body in whatever way is ready to move.
Now,
When you're ready,
I want you to bring your attention to your heart centre.
The heart chakra in the centre of your chest.
And I want you to sense,
See or feel a soft,
Radiant light glowing in this area.
And this radiant light represents your true self and your alignment with your path.
With each breath,
I want you to allow this light to expand.
Filling your entire body with its gentle energy.
Feeling that expansion of that soft,
Radiant light expanding from your heart and feeling the warmth as it moves throughout your body.
This beautiful,
Expansive and gentle energy.
Now I want you to take a moment to recall instances in your life when you felt deeply aligned.
It could be a moment of creative flow.
A time when you made a decision that felt right.
Or an experience of genuine connection.
Maybe a time that you spent with a friend and you left feeling so good,
So expansive.
Or if nothing's coming to you right now,
Opening up your chest,
Your heart,
Your body to receive.
Seeing these moments as vividly as possible and really allowing the positive sensations and emotions wash over you.
And if nothing's coming to mind,
Really imagining what it might feel like.
That empowered feeling in your body.
That expansive feeling in your body.
And it's from this place that I want you to repeat this affirmation.
I trust my body's signals of alignment.
I trust my body's signals of alignment.
I trust my body's signals of alignment.
Just take a nice deep breath in.
Really feeling that vibration of those words.
Feeling them in your heart.
And feeling that expansiveness of that beautiful light.
Pulsing throughout your body.
That gentle energy.
And as this meditation comes to a close,
I want you to take a few deep breaths.
Really allowing yourself to fully embrace the feelings of alignment and authenticity.
Nice deep breaths in.
Nice deep breath in.
And release.
When you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
As you carry this awareness of your body's responses and alignment with you.
As you move through your day.
Remember that you can always return to this meditation whenever you need to realign with your true self.
May you continue to recognize and embrace the signs of alignment along your journey with love.
