Welcome to this guided meditation.
During this practice,
We will focus on energizing and balancing the root chakra,
Which is the first energy center.
It is one of the primary seven chakras.
It is called the Mulahara in Sanskrit.
Mulah means root and Adhara means space or foundation.
It is located at the base of the spine near the pelvic floor,
The perineum,
And the first three vertebrae of your physical body.
This energy center is related to instincts,
Security,
Survival,
And basic human functions.
The root chakra is red and represented by a beautiful lotus flower with four petals.
Its element is earth.
A balanced root chakra provides you with a sense of safety and security as you move throughout this 3D world.
It helps you to stay connected,
Centered,
And keeps your energy in balance.
And most importantly,
You feel connected to yourself and Mother Earth.
As you know,
The stronger we are in our foundation,
The more confidence we have to reach our greatest potential for our highest and greatest good.
The root chakra feeds and gives strength to the power of manifestation here on earth and helps make way for energy to flow to the upper chakras as well.
Common emotional symptoms of an imbalanced root chakra include restlessness,
Insecurity,
Excessive anger and aggression,
Patience,
Greediness,
As well as obsession with materialistic matters.
Common physical signs of an imbalanced root chakra include bladder problems,
Constipation,
Lower back pain,
Eating disorders,
Kidney stones,
And weakness in the knees and legs.
Now I invite you to start our practice by taking your normal meditation posture and get comfortable.
You can choose to do this meditation either by laying down on your back on a supportive surface or sitting on a chair or another supportive surface that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.
Make sure that you're comfortable and that your back is supported.
Now bring your awareness to your spine and let it be long and straight.
Relax your shoulders and let your hands rest wherever they land naturally.
Let's begin our practice.
And when you're ready,
Take a moment to gently close your eyes.
Let's start by relaxing the body through our breath.
Just let the breath be your life force flowing through you with complete ease.
You do not need to change your breathing in any way.
Simply observe the way your body rises and falls with each inhalation and each exhalation.
Breathe naturally,
Deeply,
And gently.
Continue to take long,
Deep breaths,
Relaxing your body and feeling peaceful inside,
Feeling good and completely relaxed.
Allow yourself to fully arrive and be present in this moment,
Sensing that you are held and supported in this present moment.
You are safe and relaxed.
You feel grounded and present,
Safe and completely relaxed.
As you exhale,
Move your attention to the base of your spine and imagine a ruby red light glowing.
This warm red glow shines brightly from the root chakra calming you and making you feel peaceful,
Serene,
And safe.
You begin to feel a sense of feeling grounded,
Stable,
Protected,
And centered.
Now in your mind's eye,
You begin to see your root chakra opening up,
Spinning,
And gaining strength.
As it spins faster,
The ruby red light washes all over you and illuminates every cell in your body.
See or sense it as a rotating sphere of energy,
Slowly pulsating positive energy and releasing any negative frequencies or vibrations that don't belong in you or to you.
Continue to breathe naturally and deeply.
Allow yourself to feel the energy continue to move down to the base of your spine.
Let's rest in this awareness for a moment.
Now imagine your root chakra swirling like a whirlpool and opening as you inhale.
Feel and sense thick,
Beautiful,
Strong red roots extending from the base of your spine into the ground.
Reach yourself as deeply as you can all the way down to the center of Mother Earth.
As you exhale,
Allow the entire lower half of your body to continue to relax into the floor or surface you're on.
Allow gravity to support you against the earth.
Feel and sense the support and safety offered to you through your root chakra.
Bring your awareness and anchor into your breath.
Breathe in only what you need.
Peace relaxation,
Ease,
Love and security.
Exhale everything that no longer serves you.
Exhale what you desire and exhale what no longer aligns with those desires.
Sense or feel the divine inspiration entering your body with each inhalation and exhalation.
Now bring your awareness back to your root chakra at the base of your spine.
Pay attention to your natural breathing pattern.
Inhale and on the exhale.
Pause for a moment as you watch the ball of red light expand from the base of your spine down to the soles of your feet and out into the ground.
Now gently inhale.
Feel the roots growing and grounding you deeper into the earth and exhale.
Affirm to yourself,
I am grounded.
With your strong roots,
You are able to sit up a little taller and your confidence grows larger,
Expanding outside of you.
Affirm,
I am strong.
Gently and gracefully take a deep breath in here.
Feel your confidence radiate into the world.
Exhale to release that which no longer serves you back to source.
Kindly ask for this energy to be lovingly transmuted back to the light.
It doesn't belong in you.
Send any and all of the stress that has been accumulating in your body down through your body.
On your legs and through the soles of your feet,
All the way into the earth.
Continue to feel all the stress and tension drained from all the areas of your body.
Send all upsetting or distracting thoughts downward and out through the roots you firmly planted into the earth.
Now notice the earth and how it receives and simply absorbs all this negative energy from you,
Supporting you.
Sense how you feel now,
Feeling grateful and lighter as you begin to clear all stagnant energy,
All blocks and emotional residue from your mind and your body.
Allow yourself to sense how great it feels to be strongly connected to the earth,
How strong your body feels now.
Imagine that the red ball of light returns to the base of your spine.
Let that glowing light grow until it fills your entire body.
Once the red light has filled every corner of your body,
It travels up from your roots to the tip of your toes,
All the way up to the crown of your head.
Then it slowly dissipates,
Shooting back down,
Returning back to the earth.
Affirm to yourself,
I am safe.
I am at peace.
Again,
Let's draw up this earth energy,
Up again through your deeply planted roots and up into your feet and all the way up through your body.
Finally releasing it from the crown of your head and into the universe.
Take a moment to rest in this awareness.
Now,
Imagine the energy from the universe pouring back into your head,
All the way down your body,
Down your legs,
And out of your feet and back down into mother earth.
Your entire body is now filled up with this red earth energy and white universal light energy.
This makes you feel deeply connected to yourself,
The universe,
And mother earth.
Feel yourself becoming more connected and stronger now,
More peaceful,
More confident,
More connected.
We will now start to bring this practice to a close by imagining our roots as they extend back into the souls of our feet,
Disengaging from the roots,
But still maintaining an energetic connection to mother earth.
You are feeling very relaxed and grounded,
Connected to yourself and inner wisdom,
Feeling good,
Better than you did before.
Very gently bring your awareness back to your body.
Become aware of your surroundings and the space you're in.
Give your feet and arms a gentle stretch.
Allow yourself to smile softly.
With your eyes still closed,
Inhale and reach your arms up to the sky.
Grab all the positive energy you've created throughout this practice.
Exhale as you bring your arms down and draw this beautiful energy right into your heart.
If you can't do this physically or it's not accessible to you right now,
Please feel free to visualize it in your mind.
Bring your hands to your heart center and prayer position.
Reconnect to the energy of the earth.
Take a deep breath and say to yourself,
I am grounded.
One more deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Feeling relaxed,
Being peaceful.
You will retain this connection and strength even after you complete this meditation,
Helping you to feel safe,
Secure and grounded throughout the day or evening.
Remember this energy is accessible to you at any time.
Just come back to this practice if you start to feel disconnected,
Worry or restlessness.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
