This Reiki energy-infused guided meditation starts off with a micro talk related to the Heart Chakra (Anahata). The fourth chakra carries the energy of integration and transformation – it integrates the upper and lower chakras and unifies body and spirit. This practice will alleviate emotional pain and provide inspiration to move beyond the ego and the separate self, as you focus on compassion, forgiveness, gratitude, and unconditional love of others and self.

Welcome to this Heart Chakra healing meditation and transmission.

The Heart Chakra is the strongest energy center and unifies our being as a whole.

It is the fourth chakra called the Anahata in Sanskrit which translates to unhurt,

Unstruck and unbeaten in the English language.

Anahata is located at the body's heart center and extends through the arms and hands.

It is the home to the cardiac nerve plexus which includes the organs of the heart,

Lungs,

Breasts and thymus gland.

The thymus gland is the largest organ of the lymphatic system.

As part of our immune system,

The lymphatic system protects our bodies from illness causing invaders and removes cellular waste.

This energy center is a green color and associated with the air element.

It's symbolized by a 12 petaled lotus flower containing two interlaced triangles.

The heart is the bridge between the first three energy centers or lower triangle which is comprised of the root,

Sacral and solar plexus chakras.

The upper triangle is the throat,

Third eye and crown chakras.

Clearing and balancing the heart chakra will also improve the interaction of all the other energy centers.

It is important to maintain a balance in all the energy centers so a healthy level of awareness is manifested in our everyday lives.

If more attention is given to the upper chakras than the lower chakra centers lose sensitivity and function and consequently if more attention is given to the lower chakras then the upper energy centers will become unbalanced and will not function properly as well.

So proper balance is the key.

The heart chakra therefore is responsible for regulating the energy associated with self-love,

Compassion,

Openness and unconditional love of self and others.

When this energy center is open we are filled with love and compassion.

We are quick to forgive and accepting of others and ourselves.

You sense a heartfelt realization that opens a space for love,

Empathy,

Forgiveness,

Kindness,

Intimacy,

Devotion,

Thankfulness and healing.

Anahata is all about universal love and the flow and exchange of emotional sharing between us and others.

It is our spiritual center.

If unbalanced or blocked you may experience physical disease involving the heart,

Lung or chest region which can manifest as asthma,

High blood pressure or poor blood circulation.

On an emotional level an unbalanced anahata manifests as grief,

Anger,

Jealousy,

Fear of betrayal and hatred towards yourself or others.

The heart chakra is ruled by air so learning how to breathe deeply is essential.

During this practice we will heal and balance the heart chakra and we will do this by starting to tune into the breath.

Now let's begin this guided meditation.

I invite you to settle into a comfortable and relaxed position.

You can sit or lay down.

Whatever position you choose please make sure you're on a supportive surface and that your spine is relaxed but straight.

I invite you to take a deep breath in and out.

And when you're comfortable begin to gently close your eyes.

Breathe out slowly and gently feeling so relaxed.

As your eyelids close take a moment to relax.

Become aware of the sounds around you,

Feeling safe and secure.

Relax your eyes completely.

Relax all the muscles around your eyes.

Begin to relax your facial muscles for a few moments.

Allowing them to soften and relax.

Now focus on the idea of relaxing your entire body as deeply as possible.

Relax.

Imagine yourself becoming more calm,

Peaceful and focused.

Notice your breath.

Feel the breath flowing in and flowing out.

Continue to soften your face and jaw.

Allow the breath to flow smoothly in and smoothly out of your nose.

Relax your shoulders.

Bring your awareness to your feet.

Soften the bottoms of your feet,

The toes.

Your heels and the tops of your feet.

Let them be completely relaxed.

Feel that relaxed feeling spread to your lower legs.

Your calves.

Your knees.

And your thighs.

Every limb of your body feels so relaxed.

You feel so good.

You feel safe and secure.

Continue to take long,

Slow,

Deep breaths.

Breathing gently in through your nose.

And out through your nose.

Allow your breath to find its own natural rhythm.

Now focus your awareness on noticing each in-breath as it enters your nostrils.

And as it gently travels down to your lungs,

Causing your belly to expand.

Notice each out-breath as your belly contracts and air moves up through the lungs,

Back up through the nose.

Exhale slowly and fully.

Invite your full attention to flow with your breath.

Noticing how the inhale is different from the exhale.

You may notice the air is being cool as it enters your nose.

And warm as you exhale.

Now as you turn more deeply inward,

Begin to let go of noises around you.

If you are distracted by sounds in the space you're in,

Just simply notice them.

And then bring your awareness back to your breath.

Simply relaxing as you breathe,

Not striving to change anything about your breath.

Just observe and accept your experience in this moment without judgment.

As you pay attention to each inhale and exhale.

If your mind wanders to thoughts,

That's normal.

It may wander to making plans or reviewing problems and worries.

Just simply notice your mind wandering.

Watch the thought as it enters into your awareness as neutrally as possible.

And then practice letting go of the thought as if it were a leaf floating down a stream.

In your mind,

Place each thought that arises on a leaf and watch it as it floats out of sight down the stream.

And now bring your awareness back to your breath.

Your breath is an anchor you can return to over and over again whenever you become distracted by thoughts.

Keep drawing your attention inward,

Focusing on the breath.

Place one hand on your belly and the other hand over your heart.

Feel your body moving with each breath.

Now,

I invite you to set an intention for this practice.

Whatever intention you choose is okay.

Perhaps your intention is for self-love or connection to your higher power or for expanding your spiritual light.

Or maybe it's to experience inner peace or harmony within yourself and with others.

Feel and sense this intention.

Let it become part of you.

You are love,

Peace,

And unity.

Now imagine this intention as a beautiful ball of healing white light shining in the center of your chest.

Feel this intention as you plant it like a seed in the garden of your heart.

Nourish the seed with love and compassion.

Enter for it,

Allowing it to transform into a shining green light.

As you breathe in,

This beautiful green light of high vibrational energy becomes even brighter as it fills up with the healing energy of love.

And as you breathe out,

This green light of loving energy radiates inward through the entire body.

Releasing all the way down your spine,

Filling you up with healing energy.

It softens and dissolves blocks that may be stuck in your body.

This healing light fills every cell of your body with perfect,

Unconditional love.

This healing green light continues to illuminate inward and radiates outward,

Pulsing,

Bathing your entire body,

Spiraling and centering in your heart,

Opening it up,

Allowing beautiful blooms of luscious green hues,

Like a flower ready to blossom.

Keep allowing this green light to extend past your body to the space around you,

The room,

The building,

All the way out into your community,

The city,

And now the state and out into your country,

All the way out into the entire planet.

Send this healing,

Loving light to all those who need it the most in our world.

It's okay to send it to those that have hurt you in the past.

You're not condoning the hurt that they've caused.

You're simply realizing that you have enough love within you to heal any and all transgressions beyond your experiences,

Causing you to forgive them so that you can move on happily and healthily with or without them.

Allow your intentions to be pure and deeply rooted in love no matter what.

Breathe.

Breathe in love and breathe out any tension,

Resentments,

And hurt.

Follow the air all the way in and all the way out.

Stay present.

Being aware of each moment by moment with your breath.

If any distractions come up,

Notice it without judging it.

Just gently guide your awareness back to your breathing.

You are safe and you feel deeply relaxed.

Now visualize the healing beautiful,

Pure green light energy coming back to you.

Take a moment here to enjoy that delicate yet powerful garden you have planted in the heart.

Enjoy and show gratitude for the way that you feel right now.

Enjoy the sweetness of this vibrant energy you feel.

Cherishing this beautiful healing that you feel in your heart,

Knowing that you can come back to this place at any time.

It is always within you.

And stay here for a moment in stillness.

Entergrate this feeling.

As you appreciate the benefits of the healing vibrations available to you at this moment.

Now we will bring this practice to a close.

I'd like to invite you to prepare to become more aware of your physical body.

When you are ready,

Gradually start to awaken the body by gently wiggling your fingers and then your toes.

Bringing awareness back to the space you're in.

And before we end,

It's important to ground our energy.

Let's ground by taking a big inhale.

Stretch your arms out as far as they can go.

And then focus on the legs,

Stretching them out as far as possible.

Take a deep breath in gently.

And sigh it out.

Waking up and activating your nervous system.

One more time.

Inhale.

And exhale.

Draw out that energy by placing your hands on your heart.

As you breathe,

Use the mantra,

I love myself and I forgive myself.

I am that I am and what I meant to be.

Allow your heart to continue to open and radiate love and positive energy.

Allow the universe to offer you abundance and prosperity so that you feel all the love that surrounds you.

You feel completely soaked with positive energy in your heart chakra.

Gently release the palms of your hands by your side.

On your next inhale,

Bring the palms and arms up towards the sky,

Connecting with the heavens.

Grab that energy and then exhale.

Pour the palms lightly to the floor,

Connecting with the earth.

Take a moment or two before opening your eyes and moving on with the rest of your day.
