Welcome to a short grounding practice to really find safety within the body and reflect and recognize what do we need today to feel safe in this earth and this body.
So take just a few moments to adjust your position.
You can just stay there if you're sitting up wherever you are and when you have found that way of sitting or laying down Just gently close your eyes.
To start by deepening your breath.
And deep breaths through your nose.
And exhaling fully also through the nose Fully in.
And out.
And from here we're going to direct our breath,
Our inhalation,
All the way down to the root of our bodies to the root chakra,
To the pelvic floor.
Breathing in,
Pulling the air down and as you exhale you pull all this air all the way up,
Up,
Up,
Traveling through your body,
Exhaling out Breathing in all the way down,
Anchoring in your own body And slowly exhaling.
Creating a highway.
Of air,
Of energy all the way down and as you exhale,
You're cleansing.
Your own energy when you inhale.
You ground yourself in your body,
In your seat or ground,
And you exhale.
Letting everything go.
Inhaling bringing life in Gently as you exhale.
You let go,
You release.
And here staying for a few moments at your own pace,
Simply breathing all the way in and exhaling from the root through the nose letting your body adjust to a natural slow breath nothing to really control,
Change Just letting your body breathe the way it wants to breathe today.
And as you're in this space,
I want to bring a question and invite any sensation to come through your body So if you reflect to this day or even to this very moment or last week,
Last month And bringing in a situation that made you feel really safe.
Really held.
As if everything was absolutely fine Maybe it was just for a brief moment or maybe it was a whole day.
Try to bring into your mind's eye.
All the details you remember.
And as it starts to become more and more alive,
Notice how your body feels as you remember this moment of deep safety How was your breath?
How relaxed your body felt any other qualities,
Warm,
Soft And notice that as you recall.
.
.
The memory you might start to feel it right now as if it's right here calling in the actual physical sensations Slow breath.
Soft chest or belly anything else that's present for you.
Letting your whole system soak in.
This feeling of safety.
You already know how that feels.
So in any situation where you recognize the opposite How can you bring yourself back to safety?
Knowing that through this whole journey that we are going through together,
Beyond this we are exploring edges and right now we're not doing so we're staying here And this is the anchor that you can use anytime you need to feel held.
Coming back to the ground.
To the Earth.
There's nothing more to do.
You can slowly release also the imagery in your mind and really start to feel what's present right here right now that is also creating this sense.
Of I am safe.
Maybe it's the ground holding you.
Maybe it's the space where you are,
Maybe it's your room,
Your home somewhere in nature.
Maybe it's your pet that's around you.
Or the familiar voices.
Outside of your space.
Maybe it's just the touch of your hand on your leg.
A soft smell that feels like home.
Or just your breath slowing down.
How can this be a new anchor,
A new evidence that we can find safety again?
And whatever really made you feel cozy and at home within yourself,
Take a moment to soak it in.
Forming every cell of your body.
And keeping it in your heart.
For the future,
Anytime you might need it again.
This practice is here for you.
When you most need it.
Taking a deep,
Deep breath and a full exhale through the mouth And before you open your eyes,
Maybe you want to just squeeze yourself a little bit,
Hold yourself,
Hug yourself,
Rock side to side and really stay here as long as you need.
And if you feel ready you can open your eyes,
Look around Take a new mental picture of this moment.
And come back slowly to your daily life,
Taking enough space for you to remember what you need.
Moment by moment.
I'm glad you practice here with me.
And I see you very soon.
Bye-bye.
