What's aching you today?
Is it your shoulder?
Or maybe your neck has a crook?
Is your jaw clenched tight?
Are your feet worn out from standing too long?
Take a moment to inventory your body.
Before you get comfortable,
Find your dis-ease.
Where is it resting?
That's the place we want to make sure gets attention in this meditation.
Okay,
You got it?
Now go ahead and adjust your body.
Get as comfortable as possible.
And settle your thoughts.
Now you're comfortable.
Can you breathe into your body?
Focusing on each part as I mention it.
And as I mention it,
Breathe and release.
Release until you feel the body part mentioned,
Ease.
All right,
Let's get started.
Your forehead.
Your jaw.
Your shoulders.
Your arms.
Your back.
Your chest.
Your torso.
The left leg.
The right leg.
And finally,
Your feet.
Take a few more breaths and consider your body again.
Where is the dis-ease fighting the release?
Find that stubborn spot.
On your own,
Mention that stubborn spot.
And as you say it,
Breathe.
Breathe into it.
As you release your breath,
Imagine it's forcing out the tension.
Continue right there until ease arrives.
